Yesterday marked our 15th wedding anniversary. ❤️

22 years together, 15 years married, 13 children, and a lifetime of stories that most people wouldn't believe.

And yesterday, we got probably the best anniversary present we could have asked for. Our daughter Sia finally came home. ❤️

Seven straight weeks in Glasgow Children's Hospital. Ten surgeries. More miles up and down the road than I care to count.

She's our sixth daughter, a tough wee fighter, and I'm incredibly proud of her. But I'm just as proud of my wife, Natalie. That woman has stood beside me for 22 years, raised our family, faced everything life has thrown at us, and never stopped being the backbone of this family.

We're not quite finished yet. We've got at least another six weeks of travelling back and forth to her specialists in Glasgow.

The October holidays have started, and unfortunately we've had to cancel our family holiday to Butlin's. Fair play to them, though, they gave us a full refund without any hassle.

So instead of a holiday away, we're having two weeks at home. The little ones will be learning, the teenagers will be doing their own thing, and we'll all be making good use of SPARK AI, the education platform I've spent months building around raising and teaching our own children.

And we'll have some fun along the way.

I've always believed a man's greatest achievement isn't the money he makes, the businesses he builds, or the things he owns.

It's the family he raises, the woman who stands beside him, and what they build together.

Life doesn't always go according to plan. Sometimes you cancel the holiday, change direction, get back behind the wheel and carry on.

That's fatherhood. That's marriage. That's life.

22 years ago, Natalie and I started with very little. Today we've built a family of 13 children and a life I'm proud to call ours.

And after seven weeks apart, having our daughter back home makes this anniversary one I'll never forget.

Happy 15th anniversary, Natalie. Here's to the next 15 and beyond. ❤️

Two months. Ten surgeries. One very long wait for my wife and daughter to come home.

Sia had her tenth surgery today. Her wound is nearly healed, with just a small pocket of skin left. We're finally getting closer to having her and her mum home.

I've never been away from my wife this long in our 22 years together. So I've been holding the fort: looking after the kids, feeding everyone, keeping the house going, and worrying about what's happening at the hospital. Two cars broke down along the way. One's fixed. The extra costs have been heavy.

Through all of it, I kept building SPARK AI.

This week, nearly 500 people signed up. We're now an officially registered company.

Every spare hour went into it, between school runs and hospital updates. Seeing families actually use something I built means more than I can say.

I'm proud of how far it's come. I'm also tired, and I miss my wife.

How much does cooking feature in your children’s learning?

I’m planning a new Cooking Coach for SPARK AI, with a recipe generator that turns family meals into practical lessons—covering weighing, fractions, reading instructions, food science and budgeting.

The idea is to enter the ingredients you have, your budget and your children’s age groups, then get a recipe with suitable learning activities.

Before I build it, I’d love some honest feedback:

• What did you last cook with your children, and where did you find the recipe?
• What’s the biggest challenge—finding ideas, cost, preparation time or involving different ages?
• Would something like this be useful weekly, occasionally or probably not?

My YouTube channel already covers meals and shopping, so I’d also be trying the activities with my own children and sharing how they work in our kitchen.
