We are a traditional plant nursery located just outside the beautiful market town of Aylsham. The business was established in 1982 by Peter Purdy as a hobby. With a passion for gardening, Peter started growing plants on a plot of land backing on to this house, selling his creations by the roadside. Fast forward a few years, and today this hobby has grown into Woodgate Nursery. A thriving business

stocking more than 700 varieties of Herbaceous Perennials, shrubs, vegetable plants, trees, ferns, roses, hedging and bog plants. But what hasn’t changed is Peter’s wish to provide customers with the best possible range of plants along with friendly, personal service. We look forward to talking all things gardening with you soon!
