Prima Associates To provide talented children with an intensive Classical Ballet training to complement their regular classes. Audition only

The Prima Associates programme is designed to discover talented children and provide them with Classical Ballet training to complement their regular ballet classes. The focus is to develop technique to prepare children for auditions for full-time /part-time vocational training. Classes will include Classical Ballet, ballet floor, gymnastic conditioning and contemporary dance/creative dance, taught

by highly qualified and/or experienced teachers. Admission is by audition only whereby students will be assessed for their suitability for intensive training. Students seeking admission to Prima Associates must have permission from their Ballet School teachers to audition and attend classes. Prima Associates values its relationship with the dance teachers and welcome them to keep in close contact and there will be opportunities to observe their students in class. We expect the students to continue to study with their regular dance teacher in addition to our Associate classes. COURSE PROGRAMME

The year course will be arranged between three divisions for 7 to 13 yr olds (maximum 12 in a class) expand in the future. The course will comprise a Classical Ballet Class: Gymnastic Conditioning; Ballet Conditioning/Pilates and Contemporary/Creative Dance. These classes will form the compulsory ‘6 weeks’ a term sessions taught by high profile ballet and contemporary dance teachers and a top Russian Gymnastic coach for the gymnastic conditioning.. All our teachers are gifted, nurturing, qualified teachers who know how to teach using positive reinforcement – they are also DBS checked.

We have had 7 very successful years operating Prima Associates serving the whole of the South East area, but yesterday was sadly our last session.

We were thrilled, however, to have a wonderful visit from former ballet teacher, Lucy Heard, along with her adorable 2 year old daughter who popped in to say hello and goodbye to our current students.

A big thank you to all the past and current teachers who have delivered fabulous classes to our students over the years.

It’s been heartwarming to watch past and present students grow in many ways, whilst creating friendships along the journey. Many Prima Associates have graduated to prestigious schools, and we wish everyone the best. Keep dancing!

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that three talented, hard working Prima Associates students have landed coveted places at associate programmes in esteemed London ballet schools.
In September, Lila and Isida will be starting as a Junior Associates at The Royal Ballet School in Covent Garden, and Inaya will be embarking at Central School of Ballet as a Mid Associate. What fantastic opportunities for these girls, who always work hard and are a delight to teach and to watch. Well done girls! Enjoy your new opportunities!

We are so thrilled to hear that Prima Associate student Bailey, has accepted a coveted place at the Royal Ballet School. We are so proud of you, Bailey - what an inspiration to everyone.

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Bailey has accepted a place at world-renowned The Royal Ballet School, starting at White Lodge in September. It’s been nothing but an honour to watch Bailey blossom. He is such a delight to teach; always enthusiastic and working hard. We will miss him lots but a bright future awaits and we look forward to following his journey!

Out of thousands who auditioned, 10 yr old Bailey Edwards has been selected for the final auditions for a place at the Royal Ballet School's White Lodge. He will be attending 2 days of auditions tomorrow and Friday. We are so proud of his achievements and wish him all the best. There is a tradition to rub the left forefinger of the statue of Margot Fonteyn to bring good luck to students auditioning - so don't forget that, Bailey!
