Happy Easter Everyone 🐣🐰

[03/23/20]   Hi Everyone,
Firstly i would just like to thank everyone for all your words and support through this very odd time in our lives! You have all been fantastic! Thank you.

This morning i sent out an email to all parents that are Key Workers. If you didn't receive this email and you a re a key worker please email me on [email protected] if you need a place for your child/ren so we can look at booking you in, and i can put you on my emailing list for key workers.

If you do need us, and its not an emergency, or about a child that may be in with us that day, if possible can you email rather than phone us, as we are on skeleton staff its not always possible to get the phone, but we do check the emails every so often and will get back to you as soon as we can. However , if you do phone we will try and answer it!

Also this morning we set up a private page just for the children who come to our nursery. If you look for 'Glebe House Virtual Nursery' then click on 'join group' we will approve it, then you can look at activities you can do with your children, and add ideas that might help other parents in keeping children entertained, and still learning through fun ways. I'm sure there will be a lot of interest in this as some parents had already mentioned about settling something up. We hope its of some use!

Feel free to continue to upload pictures of what your up to on to Tapestry, the staff may not be able to reply at the moment as they don't all have full access to it, but hopefully we will be able to look back on this time and thank everyone that its finally over!!

So, until we have more information, we hope you all stay safe, keep your eye on Tapestry and our page , and we cant wait for things to take a turn for the better.
Thinking of you all.

Love the whole team here at Glebe House xx xx

Happy Mothers day to all of our Glebe House Mums, we hope you have a lovely day.

Guidance for schools, colleges and local authorities on maintaining educational provision

KEY WORKER UPDATE RE CORONAVIRUS

If you are in the category of being a Key Worker please email us on [email protected] and give us the details of your job, and a contact email and phone number as soon as possible. I'd ask you not to phone at this time, just email details.

This is the website you can go onto to find out if you are a Key Worker
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-maintaining-educational-provision/guidance-for-schools-colleges-and-local-authorities-on-maintaining-educational-provision

It only has to be one of you in the family who is a Key Worker to qualify.

Once we have have your emails we will hopefully be able to organise care!

Many thanks
Beccy

[03/19/20]   CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

We just wanted to update you with what we know at the moment(which isn't much!!).

It looks like we have to close our doors tomorrow Friday 20 March- at 6.30pm, and we won't be open again until further notice. If this is the case you won't be invoiced from 1st April 2020 until we open.

However, we have had an email this morning from Alex Gamby, Head of Early Years and Childcare, who said she is waiting for further information on Boris Johnson's announcement last night, to clarify what this all means in practice for our sector.

We don't know what will be in this next email, and we have been on tender hooks all day waiting for it to come through! The feeling is it may be about supplying us with a list from Government about who is a key worker, and how their children will be cared for(whether it would be here, or at a central hub...we have no idea!!)

We will update you all as we get more information ourselves.

We just want to say a big thank you to all the support you have been giving us, it means a lot, we know it's hard times for everyone.

Take Care
Beccy

[03/18/20]   HOW WE WILL INFORM YOU IF THE NURSERY HAS TO CLOSE DUE TO GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCEMENT.

Just to let know, if we close the nursery, due to Government announcement to contain the Coronavirus, we will inform everyone by putting a message on Tapestry, and also on our page, we won't be able to phone everyone as; we may not be given much notice, we have over 100 children here, and we will need to keep the line clear for emergencies, or possible phone calls from KCC, etc.... so please keep an eye on your computers and phone notifications. We would also let you know the date we would open again, once we knew, the by same method.

We don't know any more than anyone else about whether we will be shutting. At the moment as far as we are aware we are grouped in with schools and what happens to them. We are staying up to date with information coming out from the Government through the same channels as everyone else.

We will keep open for as long as we can, we don't want to close, but unfortunately the final decision won't be ours to make.

Thank you to everyone for being so understanding in these uncertain times.

16/03/2020

We are currently running business as usual, but are continuing to take extra precautions with even more frequent and proper hand-washing, we have our disposable gloves and aprons, we are cleaning high contact points regularly, there are also extra notices around the nursery on the importance of correct hand-washing and personal hygiene (catch it, bin it,kill it).

I have just taken a screen shot and uploaded the latest information given by the Government concerning Coronavirus. One of the main things in it is please don't bring your child in if they have a new continuous cough, or a high temperature, and if they are here already and develop a new continuous cough or a high temperature then they will have to go home. These may seem extreme measures, but we must follow the advice as we in uncertain times.

We will continue to follow and monitor official guidance from the UK Government England carefully, and we'll updated you if we hear anything more, it seems to be changing by the day!

In line with government guidance, we will to staying open until we are told any different from Public Health England., until then please be assured we are doing our best.

Many thanks
Beccy
