The children in our Foundation Stage have been busy already this week baking bread rolls. They have been reading 'The Little Red Hen' and learning about what makes a good friend. The children worked in Partnership (one of our PRIDE values) to make the bread rolls and enjoyed sharing them during snack time! 🐓🍞

🌱 Little Orchard Nursery 🌱

We were disappointed that delays meant Little Orchard Nursery could not open in September 2026. We’re now looking ahead to next academic year and would love to hear from local families as we develop our plans.

If you may be interested in a nursery place for your child at Orchard View, please complete our short expression of interest form on our webpage. This will help us to understand community need and inform future plans:

We’ll share more information as our plans develop. 🍎

Today is National Teaching Assistants’ Day, and we’d like to thank our TAs for all they do.

We are really proud of our Teaching Assistants at Orchard View and want to give a special shout out to the new TA's who have recently joined us and settled in so well, but also to our previous TA's, who have adjusted brilliantly to new Academy life.

We appreciate the skill, patience and care they bring to their work every day, and for demonstrating our PRIDE values.

Thank you, Team Orchard View! ❤️

OVPA Parents- we have uploaded videos from our class teachers, to show you where to go tomorrow.

We were not able to email these, due to the size of the files.

We can't wait to welcome the children to Orchard View tomorrow and we hope that you and your child are as excited as we are for our first day! 🌟

The big move took place today with all of our current items moved across from KVPA to OVPA! 4 van loads later, and a little bit still left to do tomorrow morning, we are all moved in. 🚐

A huge shout out and big thank you to Mr Steeples, Mrs Page, Mrs Walsh, Miss Bone, Miss Long, Mr Wassell and Mrs Howell (IFPT central team), who were able to help us out with the move today. The rest of the OVPA team are looking forward to getting in and setting the classrooms up over the next few days and weeks. 💪 💥

OVPA update:

Some of the OVPA and IFPT team were onsite today to receive lots of exciting deliveries, as we start to get ready for welcoming the children on the 3rd September!

The inside of the building is looking amazing and we can’t wait to share some more photos with you when we have finished setting up.

The contractors are currently busy finishing off the outside spaces and we had Pentagon onsite today to start the Foundation Stage and KS1 play trails.

We are looking forward to welcoming our children and families to take a closer look when we open in September!

Watch this space! 👀

That's a wrap! 📦 We've now boxed up all of our things and we are ready to close the door on an incredible first chapter as Orchard View Primary Academy prepares to move into our brand-new home.

As we look back on our very first year, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to the entire KingsbrookView Academy community for welcoming us so generously. We are grateful for the kindness, encouragement and support shown to our children, families and staff throughout the year.

A very special thank you also goes to the Kingsbrook View Parent Teacher Friends Association, for including OVPA in their fundraising events and for the generosity shown to our children this year.

To our fantastic Orchard View team – thank you for your passion, commitment and hard work in making our first year a success. Together, we've built a wonderful OVPA community, and we couldn't be prouder of everything we've achieved this year.

A special shout out to Mr Steeples for all his help towards the OVPA staff and children - we will miss him next year!

Finally, a big thank you to all of the OVPA families for supporting us this year and for all of the kind words, thoughtful gifts and positive messages sent to our staff- we really do appreciate it.

We can't wait to welcome everyone back in September to our new academy building and continue the next chapter of the Orchard View journey.

We will keep you posted with updates over the summer, but for now, we wish all of our families and staff a safe, relaxing and happy summer break.

A few photos below of some of the busy events in the run up to the end of term!

See you in September!
