Following on from my earlier post regarding the defibrillator, the fundraising page has now been set up. Please follow the link below to make a donation, anything you can spare will be hugely appreciated ♥

In the UK there are over 30,000 Cardiac Arrests a year outside of hospital. However, the survival rate is less than one in ten victims survive to be discharged from hospital, and this rate lags behind those of other developed nations. In the UK, the average time for emergency services to arrive following a 999 call is 8-12 minutes. With Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA), every minute counts as survival rate drops by 7-10% for every minute defibrillation (and CPR) is delayed. Defibrillation within 3-5 minutes of collapse can produce survival rates as high as 50-70%. This means with more public access defibs, we can significantly improve survival rates.
Defibrillators have the potential to save lives, but we understand might not be easily afforded. A charity called AED Donate will be supporting us and we will receive:
Our own dedicated online fundraising page whereby 100% of proceeds go to our campaign unlike other fundraising portals
our own specific fundraising pack with resources to help you start our campaign
social media and press coverage throughout our campaign plus our own Community Liaison Officer to help us during our campaign.
The cabinet comes with a 10 year warranty, it has a touch safe heater and a hydrostat fitted to control any moisture within the cabinet. The cabinet also comes with an IK10 strength rating. AED Donate have installed around 1,600 of these nationally and have never had one broken into. Also, they only supply FDA approved defibrillators. The machines also come with an 8 year warranty. The backing boards serve as a great way of thanking sponsors and provide great PR for anyone who has supported the site.
By working alongside AED donate, they will be able to install the External Defibrillator Package for £1,999 , which includes:
A Defibrillator with 8 Year Warranty
Carry Case
Defibrillator Cabinet with 10 Year Structural Warranty
A Rescue Kit
Full Electrical Installation (on a hard wall surface and within 5 metres of mains electrical supply)
Backing board thanking donors
FREE Access to our Education Hub and ongoing online training sessions
Registration with your local Ambulance Trust
Press Release to inform your local community
24/7 Help Desk Support
PAD and Battery Reminder Service
After Installation Care Pack
But the good news! AED donate can contribute £400 to the above meaning that the total cost for all of the above comes down to £1,599.00 including VAT. (£1,332.50+VAT)
External defibrillator package includes electrical installation for the defibrillator cabinet unless otherwise specified. Only a standard electrical install is included. Standard electrical installation includes attaching the defibrillator cabinet to a solid structure and connecting the power supply within five meters of the defibrillator.
In order to raise some of the funds, we will be holding an Autumn fete at the nursery on Saturday 22nd October 11am to 3pm, we will have a variety of stalls and games such as hoop-la, raffle, cake sale, sweet stand and (you'll love this one) splat the teacher!! All monies raised will go toward the defibrillator to support the community as a whole :-)

We also thoroughly enjoyed story time across the whole week, the importance of reading with young children and the enjoyment is priceless 🙃
As you may already be aware next Friday (18th) is Red Nose day. We are going to be doing all things bright and colourful, bright clothes, bright hair, bright nails. Could we please ask that you all donate to the page and do not bring in cash. Any children who are not in on Friday can join in throughout the week.
