🍰 🧁 🎈 Thank you to everybody who was able to donate and/or buy some treats in our bake sale yesterday. We managed to raise a fantastic £355 for The Florence Nightingale Hospice! 🍰 🧁 🎈👨🏽‍🍳

After attending a fantastic training course today with Fire Training Bucks & MK Ltd it really brought it home to us how easily and how quickly fire can spread. Whilst we were there to make sure we’re equipped to keep everyone in our nursery as safe from fire as possible, we also left with useful tips for staying safe at home.
We hope parents might find some of the following useful:
🔥 Highly recommended to have a fire blanket in the kitchen! These could also be taken outside if, for example, having a BBQ.
🔥 Increased number of fires involving children’s clothing catching fire. Teach children to “Stop, Drop and Roll”
🔥 Work out a home evacuation plan now, so you’re not panicking about the best way out at 2am when your smoke alarm is going off
🔥 Close all your internal doors at night
🔥 Charge electrical items during the day when you’re able to observe them, not overnight when you’re asleep and at your most vulnerable.

Special Visit on Friday 27th January!

We're so looking forward to our special visit from Simon and some of the guinea pigs from Bucks Guinea Pig Talks next Friday morning!

The children will be able to learn all about the piggies, what they eat and how to look after them. They will be able to gently stroke the Guinea Pigs if they would like to, or can just enjoy learning about them and watching them be their entertaining little selves!

The visit will take place in Preschool 2 and all preschoolers (who want to) will be able to take part.

As of Monday, please help to keep everybody in the nursery safe by:

*Only 1 person bringing children in/picking children up.
*Wearing a mask when inside the building.
*Keeping your distance from others.
*Staying away from nursery if you or or any of your household have
had any symptoms.

Please note, some staff members that interact with a higher number of parents and members of the public may be wearing masks at times.
