1:1 SEN Support Learning Assistant

Pollyanna Pre-School CIO is looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic 1:1 SEN Support Learning Assistant to join our friendly team immediately.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young children with additional needs and helping them thrive in a nurturing, inclusive early years environment. 💛

📍 Location: Pollyanna Pre-School
🕐 Hours: 19.5 hours per week (with potential to increase hours)
📅 Term time only
🚀 Start date: Immediate

Working pattern:

Monday: 9:00am – 3:15pm
Wednesday: 9:00am – 12:30pm
Thursday: 9:00am – 3:15pm
Friday: 9:00am – 12:30pm

💛 The Role

You will provide dedicated 1:1 support to children with SEN, helping them to access and enjoy the preschool environment, develop their independence, communicate, learn and build positive relationships.

We are looking for someone who is:
✨ Warm, caring and approachable
✨ Patient and understanding
✨ Enthusiastic about working with young children
✨ Able to build trusting relationships with children
✨ Confident working as part of a team
✨ Passionate about inclusion and supporting children with additional needs
✨ Reliable, flexible and willing to learn

Previous experience of working with children with SEN/additional needs is essential. An Early Years or relevant childcare qualification would also be an advantage.

🧩As we prepare for our next academic year in September 2026, we are looking for two individuals to join our team to support our children in gaining the best experience for their preschool journey and to help them prepare for their next chapter and be reception ready.

☀️ Our lovely summer fayre is fast approaching!! We're so excited to set up the family fun day...let's just hope the sun will make an appearance.

🎯 There'll be games, hot dogs 🌭, ice cream van, cakes, tombola, bouncy castle, a special appearance from the Bucks Radio Bear from Bucks Radio and much more!!!

We'll be operating a wristband sale for games so make sure you bring cash for these, refreshments and other activities.

🎟️ We'll also be drawing our cash raffle prize before the close of the fayre! Raffle tickets available to purchase via Esther at preschool or on the day!

We can't wait to see you all 😜

A surprise visitor today 🐑 💜
One of our ladies brought in a baby lamb, and the children were over the moon! They loved giving Collin his bottle and taking such gentle care of him. Such a special smile filled moment ✨💛🥰🐑
