🎓 Today, we are celebrating the achievements of our Year 11 students and the journeys they have taken during their time at Aylesbury UTC. Whether progressing into college, apprenticeships or employment, our students have shown determination, resilience and character throughout their studies.

💼 Alongside their qualifications, students have developed the professional skills that employers value through industry projects, employer engagements, educational visits and enrichment opportunities. These experiences help ensure that every young person leaves us better prepared for their future.

Congratulations to all our year 13 students for successfully passing their Digital T-Level courses! 🥳💻

📃 School will be open for results days, 9-11am on 13th August for yr 13s and 20th August for yr 11s. Wishing our students the best outcome - there will be celebrations and perhaps disappointment but our students can take stock of their hard work since joining in 2024.

Yr 10 students received certificates today for attendance and achievement, Cisco project days and the Turing Scheme UK visit. Students also got their mock results. A great opportunity to celebrate, reflect, and take stock for the next academic year.

This week, students enjoyed another action-packed few days! On Monday, they visited Bletchley Park where they learnt about World War 2 and the history of the site. Finally, they took part in a cybersecurity workshop. 🕵️

✍️ Yesterday, author and illustrator Richy K. Chandler came to work with students on creative writing, imagination and expression - thank you Merchant Taylors' for supporting these sessions. There was also an exciting gliding trip to the London Gliding Club where students got to experience flying a glider. 🛩️

Activities and visits like these add a different aspect to the curriculum, and help to develop invaluable skills and knowledge outside the classroom.

A busy few weeks for our yr 12s! Last week, they had some useful coaching sessions from representatives at Cisco and the NHS to support with careers aspirations and advise on career paths.

Health students also visited Stoke Mandeville Hospital yesterday. They saw the wards in action, and learnt about areas such as occupational therapy and acute medicine. Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust

🗣️ Great to have Justin from Speakers Trust working with the yr 10s on public speaking and communication skills. We’re grateful to Merchant Taylors’ for supporting these sessions.

Update from the group on the trip in ! 🇪🇸😀 The start of their Spanish lessons and they are having fun. 😊 Snacks to keep them going.
