We have made our own bookbags, designed our own uniforms and we have been looking very closely at our names.
Long Crendon Pre-School & Out of School Club is looking to recruit a practitioner, who would love to join our friendly and vibrant team.
Our village setting is spacious and has a lovely levelled garden for children and staff to enjoy. We provide lots of fun activities and a supportive environment.

Job type: Term time only
Working hours:
Monday to Friday 3.00pm to 6.15pm

Ideal Candidate will:
• Have previous experience working with children in a Nursery/Preschool setting and have a good understanding of the EYFS and Safeguarding
• Be passionate about working with children
• Have an outgoing, bubbly and fun personality
• Believe in building strong foundation for children’s cohesive learning
• Be happy to improve their learning and up-skill
The role involves:
• Working with children aged between nursery to KS2
• Monitoring and assessing children’s progress
• To be responsible for the development of children
• Demonstrate your commitment to safeguarding children
• Ensuring the correct records are maintained
Because of the nature of this job, it will be necessary for an enhanced criminal record disclosure to be undertaken, together with safeguarding checks.

All children and their families are welcome, inc those with no connection to LC Pre-School or school.
Child tickets will be £5 on the door, but with a free voucher available on Eventbrite you can get £1 off, making child tickets £4. Present your free voucher on the door and pay just £4 either by cash or card. Adults are free.
We have been very busy getting into the holiday mood. The children have been on their own plane ride, exploring the beaches, making their own ice creams and painting their own shells. We have also had lots of conversations about getting ready for big school we have also been exploring the different uniforms and pe kits that they will be using.
Our AGM meeting will be held on Monday 18th September at 7:30pm. We do welcome all members of the community to join the Committee, you don't need to be a parent to contribute. For more information, please email [email protected]
We've had a lovely first week back 😄
The children have been reading What the Ladybird Heard on Holiday this week. The children have made their own ladybirds and boats for their own holidays.
The weather finally got warmer so we have enjoyed water play too ☀
Are you ready to shake off the summer term to your favourite tunes? Dress up, dress down, just be ready to jump in the jungle and bop like a bear. The Long Crendon Pre-School Committee will be holding a Summer Disco on Sunday 25th June and would love to see you all there.

We've had lots of fun exploring farms and the season of Spring. The children have made wonderful scarecrows, tractors and their own farms using different materials.
We've enjoyed the sunshine too! ☀️

We've been looking at how to take care of our bugs and insects this week especially bees. We've spoken about why we need to take extra care at looking after bees and what bees do. The children have also planted carrots, went on a flower adventure and really enjoyed playing in the sunshine especially our mud kitchens! 🐝
Pre-School has a new addition to our garden. Thank you to our committee who took time out of their weekend to create this amazing mural for us. The children love it!
We've been focussing on minibeasts this week.
The children have had fun making their own and exploring where the minibeasts like to live and what they eat 🪱🦋🕷🕸
We've been busy talking about the King's Coronation this week. The children have made their own crowns, helped make bunting and learnt some of the names of the Royal Family
We've been exploring all the different animals we find at a farm! The children have enjoyed making their own sensory farms, making different animals and finding out what food we can grow on farms too. 🐑🐖🐄🐓
We've started our week back focussing on life cycles. We have caterpillars in Pre-School and the children are all excited to see them grow over the course of this term.
The children have also been planting different vegetables and flowers to get ready to transfer into our garden.
Happy Easter
The children have been enjoying lots of different Easter crafts from making bunny masks, their own chicks, bunnies, cakes and shakers with eggs.
We have an inset day Monday 17th April - we will be back on Tuesday 18th for April with the focus being on the Seasons, farms, planting and minibeasts 🐛🐞🐴🐑🌻🌞
We've been focussing on the woodlands this week. The children have been making some wonderful crafts, explored clay, enjoyed feeding the birds, learning about birds nest and made a lovely nature potion. 🦉🦔🐾
We created our own dinosaur world this week!
The children have been archaeologists digging for bones and taking closer look at fossils. We have taken part in fun experiments with "fizzy eggs" and making their own fossils
Pre-School have been to the safari this week. They loved making lots of different animal crafts, drawing their own safari maps, modelling their own little animals and all of the toy animals had a visit to the vets to make sure they are ok!
The children have been super busy this week!
We have been talking about jungle animals, the children have loved exploring the different animals they can find. They loved making monkeys and crocodiles.
We talked about the Daffodil for Saint David's Day and the children looked lovely all dressed up for World Book Day. We made sensory trays around books and some children told us / wrote their own stories.
We've had a busy first week back!
We have been exploring animals from the Artic and Antartic. The children have been busy making lots of different animals and experimenting with ice, seeing what happens when we paint it and exploring sensory trays.
We also loved pancake day making our own and having a taste test.
Pre-School have been feeling the love this week. The children have made lovely valentines day cards, hearts and explored a lovely sensory tray.
Pre-School have also enjoyed the last week of our superhero topic too!
We will be exploring lots of different animals next term 🐧🐼🦔.

This week we have looked at super numbers!
The children have been making their own numbered superheroes, finding numbers in sensory trays and making lots of lovely pictures.
The children also dressed up as their favourite Superhero and they looked fantastic!
Happy Lunar New Year
The children have loved exploring noodles and chopsticks, making their own lanterns, pictures and a dragon!
We've been looking at lots of different Super Careers.
The children have been exploring vets, chefs, doctors, nurses and firefighters.
Supertato week!
The children have loved all the different activities. They've made supertato out of collages, potatoes and paint. We've mashed Evil pea and rescued his friends from Evil Peas trap.
Christmas is in full swing!
We've made lots of snowmen, made our own winter wonderland, made stockings and jumpers and have been protecting our Pre-School snacks from our cheeky elf Jingle! 🎄🎅
We have explored what Christmas would be like in Australia this week! The children have loved talking about the different animals they would and making aboriginal art.
The Pre-School Christmas tree has also gone up, beautifully decorated by all the children. Our Elf Jingle has made an appearance this year again too 🎄
Thanksgiving!
We have looked at Thanksgiving this week, the children have been making their own turkeys in different crafty ways. We spoke about what we are thankful for and explored the country of America in more detail.
We've started getting Christmassy!
The children have been busy making and decorating their own Christmas trees.
It has also been World Nursery Rhyme week, we have been singing lots of different songs.
Pre-School have been talking about remembrance day.
The children have been making their own poppies, talking about the different coloured poppies and we will be observing the 2 minutes silence as a mark of respect.
Welcome back!
We have spoken about Diwali and bonfire night this week.
The children made Diya lamps, stars and practised Mehndi with stickers and colouring.
We have spoken lots about firework safety and the sounds fireworks make
The children have been busy builders and mechanics this week! They have been busy fixing cars, building and driving lots of diggers and tractors 🚜

We've looked at lots of different sports. The children have been playing football, talked about which foods help our muscles and taken part in lots and lots of dancing!

We've had great fun playing shopkeepers and hair dressers!
The children have enjoyed counting money and buying lots of food. We've also been working on our scissor skills, cutting up spaghetti hair and changing the colour.
The children have loved being bakers and chefs this week!
We've enjoyed mixing and stirring different materials to make our own cakes and biscuits. We also used our fine motor skills to cut up different vegetables to make salads!

The children have been playing Postman Pat this week. They have created lovely letters, posted them through the post box and created their own post box too!
