Delighted to help plant two oak trees Buckingham Park Church of England Primary School this morning as part of #TheQueensGreenCanopy thank you for your hospitality, and to the Mayor and Mayoress of Aylesbury, as well as my young planting helpers!
Welcome back to all of our pupils and families! We hope you had a lovely break!
Reminder to all of those who are applying for a school place in September: We have the last information meeting Thursday 6th at 9.15am before the 15th January deadline for School Places. Looking forward to seeing you there tomorrow morning!
Please do wear a mask and keep your distance from others.
Wishing all of our pupils, their families and community a very safe, happy and healthy break!
Remember to wave to our neighbours at the care home and your way out of the school gates today!
Twas the night before Christmas break, when all through the school,
All the students were stirring, excited for Yule;
The Christingles were made at St James with care,
In hopes that Baby Jesus soon would be there;
The children were excited to see Rev Dan,
Not just on the screen, but as a real man,
And the staff in their Christmas jumpers, all serving festive dinners
The children all enjoying as Christmas décor shimmered
The first time back in the hall, What a clatter!
The dining room staff worked so hard, they’re shattered
Away to the speakers Mr Fell flew like a flash,
Blasting the Christmas music, such a festive mash!
The PTA have been brilliant with sharing their funding,
Helping us to give the children lots of fun things;
This term has been hard with Covid appearing,
Hoping everyone stays healthy, for this we are cheering,
Let’s have a restful break (that will likely go quick)
With maybe a visit from jolly ol’ St. Nick.
We thank you all for the support that you gave,
To support our dear students, too many to name:
"Thank you Support Staff! Thank you Parents, Governors, too,
"Thank you teachers! And TAs and all of YOU!”
"To the top KS2 corridor! To the dining room and hall!
"Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"
On the last day of school as the gates open wide,
When they meet with masked parents to collect their child,
Go with our prayers and well wishes too,
We look forward to the 5th Jan to welcome you
You will hear Mr Fell exclaim as you walk out of sight-
Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

How are you all getting on with the Summer Reading Challenge?
#BuckinghamshireLibraries
Summer Reading Challenge Thanks to publisher DK, you can download a free eBook of The Secret Explorers and the Rainforest Rangers from Google Play Books!
School's out for Summer! The Staff at BP would like to extend our gratitude for all of the support from our parents and all of the hard work from our children. Although this year has been challenging for all, it has been an enjoyable one as well!
We would especially like to wish our Year 6 children all the best as they move on to secondary school. Go with our love and remember to live the BP values wherever you may be!
Eid Mubarak to all our families and staff celebrating Eid-ul-Adah!
Looking for something to keep your children busy over the summer? Do they have what it takes to be a BP Smartie?
Our amazing PTA are running a Smarties learning challenge over the summer holidays! Children from current Reception classes to Year 5 will receive a tube of Smarties and a list of learning tasks (set by the BP staff team!) to be completed.
The challenge is for children to complete as many tasks as possible (as many times as they wish) over the summer break. In return for completing a task, the children should receive a coin to add to their Smarties tube (20p or £1 coins fit best). The filled tubes should kindly be returned to school by September 10th. (Nursery and Reception children will have an opportunity to complete this challenge over October half term!)
All monies raised will go towards having an outdoor library so that Buckingham Park children can enjoy books to read during their break and lunchtimes. (Facsimile photo included in post)
We hope you enjoy the challenge and wish everyone a fun, safe and healthy summer!
