Hey New Reception 2025 Parents and Children!

Fancy going to Zoomania to meet your new classmates?

Nadia (the Manager at Zoomania) has organised a session for all New Starters for Buckingham Park. This will take place on 10th June at 3.30pm.

Mr Perks has been busy organising our annual sports week! Classes from Nursery to Year 6 will be taking part in a number of sports including:

Basketball
Handball
Badminton
Tennis
Kick Boxing
Cricket
Dance
Golf
Yoga

Prepare to walk, skip, hop, jump or run as the Buckingham Park colour run is back!
Taking place on the school field on Saturday 10th May 09.30-12.30. This event is suitable for all abilities so parents, carers, grandparents can join too!

Families that have children in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 will be invited to join the course for a 10.30 start. Families that have children in Years 3-6 will be invited to join the course for a 11.00 start. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the race start time to register and complete your own warm up.

School gates will open at 09.30 for registration. The Salt Kitchen will be serving breakfast baps, sandwiches, burgers and hot drinks for the duration of the event.

All participants aged 3+ require a ticket to participate in the colour run course. Ticket price covers either the 10.30 or 11.00 race, and not both. Ticket price includes a bottle of water and a medal for each participant. Spectator entry is free. No tickets will be sold on the day. Ticket sales will close at 9am on Tuesday 22nd April 2025.

It is advised that participants wear googles or glasses to protect their eyes from the coloured powder that will be thrown over participants undertaking the course. UK manufactured throwing powders are made from organic powders and natural dyes. The powder is gluten free and EN Certified. Not recommended for those under 3 years old.

There will be a raffle held on the day for a chance to win one of 7 large rainbow hampers. Winners will be announced at 12pm.

Join your PTA for Buckingham Park’s much loved film night! For all years, including reception.

Friday 21st March 2025. Doors open 16.45. Films start 17.00. Collection 19.00. Ticket price includes a drink and snack.

Films for Reception, Years 1&2 are Migration and The Wild Robot.
Films for Years 3-6 are Wonka and Moana 2.

No drinks or snacks from home are permitted due to allergy monitoring. No bags or mobile phones are permitted.

Ticket sales close 9am on 20th March 2025. There will be no exceptions to this deadline and no tickets sold on the door.

The PTA will also be holding a pre loved uniform sale in the school hall 16.45-18.30. CASH ONLY donations please.

Wow! Our staff team have been busy this year and have had some major successes!

-With his PE leadership, Mr Perks has led our school to receive the School Games Gold Badge!

-With her PSHE leadership, Mrs Zafar has led our school to receive the Healthy Schools award

These badges will be added to our website and school letterhead, which already includes our NSPCC and ICAN accreditation!

60x hot & sweaty 11yr olds well tired after 2 hrs of Dancing & singing! They were an absolute delight Buckingham Park Church of England Primary School! Great work parents & teachers! 👌

What a week! Every class from Nursery up to Year 6 has had lots of sport experience, talks from specialists and healthy snack making activities. We will post more pictures next week with our thank you messaged to all who helped make this week a huge success!

Sport and Science Week continues! All pupils are taking part in creating a healthy snack this week. The pupils in Year 4 have been making fruit kebabs. Yummy!
