โ๏ธ Staff Member at The Grange for 10 Years 1๏ธโฃ0๏ธโฃ
โ๏ธ Is Head of P.E. as well as a Year Team Leader - a very busy man! ๐
โ๏ธ Has also taught both Art and Design Technology whilst at The Grange ๐๏ธ
โ๏ธ Enjoys playing football (plays for a local team) โฝas well as going to the gym and running. Mr Walsh has run a few marathons and once ran 50 miles in 24 hours! ๐
โ๏ธ Has an 11-year old daughter who is starting in Year 7 in Bucks and so Mr Walsh is experiencing starting secondary school from both a parent and staff perspective 7๏ธโฃ
โ๏ธ Lifelong Liverpool fan and mentions this A LOT! ๐ดโฝ
โ๏ธ Yes... Mr Walsh's hair is natural ๐
The new Year 7's students met Mr Walsh on their transition days in July but will get to know him very well when they start in September and as they head through their first few terms. Mr Walsh's office will be located in the English Corridor.

โ๏ธ Mrs Brown and her daughter have two guinea pigs called Fifi & Zuzu ๐ง
โ๏ธ Currently teaching A Level Sociology but is a trained History teacher ๐
โ๏ธ Strictly Come Dancing's BIGGEST SUPER FAN ๐
โ๏ธ Loves to spend her time reading and is a member of our staff book club ๐

โ๏ธ Weekends are busy spent on the football sidelines for her boys and other family activities - big fans of Escape Rooms and getting out into the countryside ๐ณ

โ๏ธ Has been Head of Humanities and an Assistant Headteacher at The Grange ๐จโ๐ซ
โ๏ธ Been a SENDCO since 2006 for the DISC half of all year groups ๐
โ๏ธ Enjoys fishing ๐, reading ๐ and gardening ๐ป

โ๏ธ Teacher of Music for 19 years ๐ต
โ๏ธ Joined the Support for Learning Team as SENDCO for the OVER half of all year groups in 2020 ๐

โ๏ธ Previously worked in the Corporate Customer Service World as a Customer Services Manager ๐

โ๏ธ Mum to an 11-Year Old boy called Oliver ๐ฆ

โ๏ธ Worked as a Student Support Mentor for 8 years ๐จโ๐ซ
โ๏ธBased in Stapleton House (a separate building within the school grounds) - a place to go when students need some support from a non-teaching, specialist member of staff ๐ค
โ๏ธ During the Spring Term, Mrs Rousell gathers information from all our partner schools to organise transition support groups ready for September ๐
โ๏ธ Mrs Rousell's favourite season is Spring ๐ป
โ๏ธ Mrs Rousell loves spending time with her 4 children and going on cruises worldwide with them! Her two favourite destinations are Alaska & Barbados ๐๐๏ธ
Mrs Rousell looks forward to meeting some of our Year 7's in September ๐
What a difference a year makes! At the beginning of August 2023 we'd just started work on our canteen extension. Fast forward 12 months & we now have a new indoor space to seat 80 students at a time & an all weather outdoor space for everyone to enjoy! This is all part of the work our team puts in to provide our students with the spaces they need to study, as well as relax & decompress.

โ๏ธ Deputy Safeguarding Lead ๐จโ๐ซ
โ๏ธBased in Stapleton House (a separate building within the school grounds) - a place to go when students need some support from a non-teaching, specialist member of staff ๐ค
โ๏ธ Mrs Round's team consists of Miss Pomery (Deputy Safeguarding Lead and Student Welfare Support Assistant), Mrs Rousell (student welfare support assistant), Mrs Canvin (student mentor) and Mr Wingrove (Behaviour Mentor) ๐
โ๏ธ Mrs Round's team offers transition support as well as 1-1 mentoring ๐
โ๏ธ Students can visit Stapleton House & the inclusion room during break and lunchtime as well as get in touch via the student support email address ๐
Mrs Round has been attending her own transition visits to our partner schools to meet with their Safeguarding Leads to make sure all important information is shared ๐

โ๏ธ Likely to be found in his office located in the English Corridor and gets his steps up by striding the corridors throughout the day ๐ถ
โ๏ธ Design & Technology Teacher specialising in Construction - loves 'making stuff' ๐จ
โ๏ธ Also known as 'The Viking' and THE BFG ๐
Mr Golding met the Year 6's in their assemblies on the transition days in July but looks forward to seeing all our new Year 7's joining in September ๐

โ๏ธ Nationality = Scottish ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ
โ๏ธ Trained as a PE teacher but is no longer a classroom teacher ๐จโ๐ซ
โ๏ธ Likely to be found in his office located in the Food Technology Corridor ๐
โ๏ธ In assemblies every morning, which he describes as meeting and greeting the students, the best part of his day ๐
โ๏ธ Has a glamorous assistant called 'Fudge' who gives the best cuddles when you need them! ๐งธ
Mr Murray accompanied the top 6 primary schools on transition visits this year and has therefore met the majority of the new year group but looking forward to seeing all our new Year 7's in September ๐

Good Morning... we thought we would share this post onto this page for our new parents as this could be your children in 12 months from now. Time flies...โฒ๏ธ
Last week, we invited staff from our top 3 biggest partner schools - Turnfurlong Junior, William Harding and Bedgrove to visit our Year 7 students, 1 year on at our 'Coffee, Cake and Catch Up Afternoon โ
We had over 60 Year 7 students attend together with 13 members of staff from our local primary schools as well as Grange School staff ๐ซ
The Year 7 students were incredibly excited to see their previous Year 6 teachers and Headteachers and enjoyed reminiscing and sharing how they are getting on in their secondary school ๐
Thank you to the staff at Turnfurlong, William Harding and Bedgrove for popping by and grabbing a Coffee and Cake with us ๐ฐ
Today is National โBe a Kid again Dayโ ๐ฆ ๐ง
So to celebrate, here are our Heads of Year 7 - Mr Walsh & Mr Khan being kids again with 240 x Year 6s for the afternoon on last weeks transition day ๐บ

Our new students have had lots of opportunities to meet our friendly team โบ๏ธ and try out some lessons, get to know new faces and forge friendships ๐โโ๏ธ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ in their form groups and find their way around and feel more familiar with their new environment. We hope they have returned home happy and confident about joining us in September! ๐๐ซ๐

- Need to bring a pencil case with basic stationary ๐
- Need to bring a pair of trainers on 2nd July ๐
- Children should be dressed in Primary School Uniforms ๐
- Children will finish at 2.30pm and leave through the main reception ๐ซ
- If children are walking home with siblings, they should meet them in the main hall ๐จ ๐ฉ
- If children's uniform and belongings can be named, that would be appreciated ๐

To close last week, Miss Curtis visited Weston Turville Church of England School on Thursday to meet a lovely young man who will be joining The Grange in September.
Like many other children, he is the only one coming to The Grange so certainly will not be alone when the time comes.

Miss Glenister, Mr Murray & Miss Curtis visited 15 children this morning at the lovely Ashmead School. They said they felt much less nervous after chatting to us which makes our visits worthwhile ๐ Thank to the staff for having us over.

Miss Glenister, Miss Curtis & Mr Murray visited over 40 children this morning who will be joining us next year to start their secondary school journey with us ๐ฃ๏ธ
What a lovely group of children they were with lots of questions and amazing listening skills ๐ and great manners โค๏ธ

Yesterday Miss Glenister visited Stoke Mandeville Combined School to visit 5 lovely children and their teacher.
All 5 of them had already planned their journey in how they were all going to meet each other and walk to The Grange on the transition days ๐ฅน
