So lovely to see this one arrive safely, other than a leg back, which was quickly rectified. A strong filly by Jack Hobbs out of a Mahler mare destined for the race track 😘Shelly the mare was a vet referral due to complications during pregnancy, resulting in high risk birth problems, but luckily all went well ❤️

Well that was a busy night, at just before 1am we had a c**t by Colmar for Jade Chloe Hall, he was up and galloping around when at 1.45am Sara Strongs 4⭐️event mare had a pretty filly by Contendro.

Beautiful strong filly for Sherry Scott born early this morning by the Jumbo stallion, Philanderer II out of a Stallone Quainton mare. We are now just over half way with this years foalings, so still more baby pictures to come 😘

We definitely have a strong boy theme going on with another c**t arriving just before 1am this morning for Sara Strong. This was an embryo transfer into a recipient mare. This boy is by Diarado out of of 4⭐️ event mare, who is here and due next week. So unusually we will have a full siblings in the same year.

Proud Mummy moment 💓we bred this wonderful boy all these years ago by Dexters Puzzle out our great mare Greystar. When born he was a proper piebald and at about the age of 3 started to grey out. Remember dying his tail black Victoria Critchley as it always looked dirty 🤣🤦‍♀️So pleased to still see Perry enjoying his job all these years on winning at Royal Windsor.

So while most of the foals born here are up and skipping around straight away, there can be an odd one that needs a bit more intervention. This one was born Sunday morning and was very slow to suckle, with some stripping of the mare and bottle feeding she eventually latched on at about lunchtime. We then continued to monitor very closely for the next 24 hours. We then ran an IGG yesterday to see if she had taken on enough colosseum through mums milk, which sadly she hadn’t. So today we have had to do a plasma transfusion to enable her to take on more antibodies and fight infection 🤞🤞🤞another IGG later tomorrow and hopefully she will be going in the right direction. She did even have an hour in the field after just to cheer her and mum up 😘
