Don’t forget M***i tomorrow!! 🙂
Today is World Mental Health Day.

Don’t forget tomorrow’s small fundraiser for Bucks Mind who have supported us over the past few years.

The children will need to wear a bright coloured top (children to wear school skirts and trousers as usual) and bring in £1 to put in the bucket.

All proceeds raised will go to Bucks Mind.
Due to the increased number of positive COVID cases and advice from Public Health England we have made the hard decision to cancel Sports Day on Friday.
We are sorry for any disappointment this causes 😞
🚗 We are becoming increasingly concerned about the safety of the children at the beginning and end of the school day in the school staff car park and on the road near the main gates.

As from tomorrow, there will be cones on the yellow zigzag lines and in the school car park entrance gate to prevent people being able to park/ drop off children. We will be closely monitoring this as the safety of our families is our priority. Our barrier is up at the moment to create a safe space for parents and children to walk through ensuring social distancing.

✋ Please do not enter the school car park or park on the zig zag lines. 🛑
🐻 ❤️
Please look out for an email detailing information on a full opening to all pupils on the 8th March.

We can’t wait to see you all 😊
We hope everyone has had a restful break and managed to find time to relax together as a family.

We look forward to welcoming back our keyworker and vulnerable children tomorrow and can’t wait to see all your brilliant achievements online with remote learning continuing for the rest of the school.

You may have heard today’s announcement from the government and we are so looking forward to welcoming back the rest of the school from the 8th March. Please do give us time as we will be reviewing all our risk assessments and putting together plans in order to protect all members of our community. The safety of our staff, parents and children is our number one priority. As soon as more information is given and guidance is released, we will let you know as soon as we can.

Once again, we would all like to thank you for the support, kind words, phone calls, encouraging emails, Dojo and Tapestry comments... we are so proud of everyone and are looking forward to seeing all of your faces once again soon 🐻

This is information for parents and carers, pupils and college students about the national lockdown in England.

Please check your emails regarding the switch to online learning next week in GLT schools until the 8th January. As in the lockdown last year, children who are categorised as vulnerable and children of key workers may attend school for on-site learning. We will be asking parents / carers to notify us if this applies to you and your family.

As always, decisions like this are never easy to make but we hope all our school community understand why the Trust have made this decision.

Thank you for your support.

PRE-SCHOOL!
Such a lovely idea coming your way!!!
🎄 Christmas is coming! 🎄
From Monday, we are going to do an advent challenge. We have an advent calendar with pockets and each day we will be opening a pocket to reveal a challenge/ fun activity of the day!
These will be simple activities you can complete with your child at home! Staff will post to Tapestry each day to let you know the activity, and in turn, we would love for you to post back on Tapestry and maybe upload a photo or two?? If you unsure of how to do this, let us know!

National restrictions: 5 November - 2 December

01/11/2020

Following last nights new government information regarding a second lockdown, we have updated school guidelines.

The main changes are:
• Drop off and pick up times will change as detailed in letter. **PLEASE SEE LETTER for more info**
• Only one adult per family to drop off and pick up to reduce numbers.
• All adults will wear a face mask/shield when dropping off and picking up. We would request that we are all mindful that some adults because of medical conditions etc. will not be able to wear face masks.
• Staff on gates will wear face masks/shields.
• When dropping off please do not enter the ‘hatched areas’ and respect distance between you and others.
• Please drop the children off and leave immediately. It is important we do not have any groups on the playground.
• All staff will be expected to wear face masks/shields when moving around school.

PLEASE do check your emails as changes will begin from tomorrow.

Thank you once again for your continued support and like last time, we will remain in regular communication with you all.

We understand that it’s the season for regular colds and runny noses but please remember the main symptoms of Covid that the government have advised. These are a high temperature, a new, continuous cough and a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste.
Please see the useful flow diagram below if you’re unsure 👍

Colds, coughs and BACK TO SCHOOL

Requests for COVID testing is through the roof since schools went back, with many schools advising all kids with runny noses and colds to stay off and self isolate.
This is really difficult for parents, really hard for schools...and NHS 111 is overrun with calls to speak to doctors.

Today the @rcpch issued some new up to date (and evidence based) guidance for parents and schools.

Here I have made it into a simple flow chart to make it easier to understand.

Such a brilliant event but this year and like for many for other schools, it’s not meant to be.

If you can and want to donate, please see the link below and as ever, we are so very grateful for your continued support x have a great weekend ☺️

Today would have been our Pirates and Fairies summer fete and typically the weather is looking a little better than it did for our fair last year. We had so much fun lined up to make it an amazing day.

Our summer fair is usually a key part of our annual fundraising and this year that part is missing, meaning we will not be meeting our Laptop target this year.

We know times are tough and unsettling but if you could find it in your hearts to donate to [email protected] we really would appreciate every penny, and promise to do our best to get things great again once we are allowed.
