GCSE Results 2026 💙❤️

It has been an exciting morning at Cottesloe as we’ve shared GCSE results with our students. We are delighted with the outcomes, which reflect another very positive year for our school.

We are so proud to have enabled so many students to take their next steps, adding significant value across a wide range of subjects. A huge thank you to all our staff for their hard work and dedication in helping us achieve these results.

No matter what is written inside that envelope, remember: today is just a marker along the way, not the final destination. Whether you got the grades you hoped for or need to explore a Plan B, or did much better than you thought and need a new plan to aim higher, 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀.

Take a deep breath, you’ve worked hard, you have options, and you don't have to figure it out alone!

Twas the night before Results Day, and all through Cottesloe,
Not a student was sleeping, with nerves all aglow.

The results are now waiting, all safely in place,
And tomorrow you’ll walk through those doors with a brave face.
Some excited, some nervous, some filled with “what ifs?”,
But please know, my Year 11s, your Head of Year is
So incredibly proud of each one of you.

For grades are important, of course this is true,

They may open some doors and help guide what you do.
But they cannot define you, your worth or your heart,
Nor measure the person you’ve been from the start.

I hope that tomorrow brings all that you need,
The grades for your future, your next chapter to read.
And if things don’t go quite as you’d hoped or you’d planned,
Please know there are pathways and teachers available on hand.

For one set of numbers cannot tell your whole story,
Nor capture your kindness, your laughter, your glory.
The friendships, the memories, the courage you’ve shown,
The person you’ve become is something you own.

So tonight, have your tea and try not to fret,
For this is a moment you’ll never forget.
Tomorrow, stand tall and be proud of your way,
For you’ve made it to here , it’s finally Year 11 Results Day.

Cottesloe Year 11, it’s been quite a ride,
And I hope you know how much I’ve felt pride.
Whatever tomorrow brings, whatever you do,
Remember that I’ll always be incredibly proud of you.

So sleep well if you can, let the worrying cease,
And face your tomorrow with courage and peace.
The next chapter is waiting, your journey begins…

Year 10 Statistics Exam Results and how to access Results Online 📢

For Year 10 students who sat summer exams this year, results will be available on Exams Assist starting at 12:00 PM on Thursday, 20th August 2026.

How to Access Your Results:
* Go to examsassist.co.uk
* Click on the blue Login button.
* Select Register with SchoolWorkSpace.
* Enter your school email address.
* Check your email for a 6-digit verification code and enter it into the box.
* Create and confirm a password.
* Once logged in, navigate to view your results/timetable (it will look like the layout shown below!).

📢 Year 11 GCSE Results Day Reminders 📢

A quick reminder for all Year 11 students and families ahead of Results Day on Thursday 20th August 2026!

Whatever the result in the envelope, remember, "You are 𝘀𝗼 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 than your exam results. Whatever happens, give yourself 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 and 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲, and remember there is a life beyond exams." Author Unknown

Collection Times & Locations
Each tutor group has an allocated room and time slot to collect their results.
⚠️ 𝙋𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙚: Any tutor group previously scheduled to collect from the 𝙊𝙡𝙙 𝙂𝙮𝙢 will now collect their results from the 𝘾𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙚𝙣 due to ongoing site building work. SEE IMAGE

🚗 Site Access & Parking
Due to building work:
• Vehicles: Access via the Church Street entrance is strictly reserved for accessible parking only. All other vehicles must enter via the Coach Park entrance.
• Pedestrians: Can continue to access the school via the Church Street entrance.

📝 Post-Results Services
Details regarding post-results services (including 'Access to Scripts' and 'Review of Marking') have been shared previously. Ms. Hall will be available on-site during the morning to assist anyone needing these services.

💻 Unable to attend in person?
Students who cannot make it on the day can access their results electronically via their Exams Assist account starting from 12:00 PM.

Sixth Form Aspirations?
For all Year 11 pupils who have applied to The Cottesloe School Sixth Form, your results envelope will contain important information about confirming your Year 12 place and any next steps, including potential discussions about your Key Stage 5 choices.

What a day! We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate the incredible achievements of our Sixth Form students.

Our students have not only achieved fantastic results but have also shown remarkable resilience and determination throughout their studies. This will enable them to go on to top universities or pursue apprenticeships. Their hard work truly reflects our school motto: Prepare, Aspire, Succeed.

💙 For Applied qualifications such as BTECs, the average grade was a 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

𝗡𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝟵𝟬% of students applying to university secured their chosen place this year. The most popular destinations include Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Durham, Exeter, Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham, UCL, and Warwick. Furthermore, an increasing number of students are taking up competitive Degree Apprenticeships, made possible through the continued support and guidance of our professional partners.

A huge congratulations to all our students and a sincere thank you to our dedicated staff for their unwavering support. We can't wait to see what you all do next!
