Year 2 had an amazing time at Chiltern Open Air Museum this week. They went pond dipping, made dens in the woods and discovered what owls eat by investigating owl pellets. The children demonstrated excellent team building skills, use of scientific vocabulary and determination. Well done Year 2!

Something egg-citing has hatched in Year 2!!
The children have been absolutely thrilled to meet the newly hatched chicks, and they are eagerly looking forward to naming them once all the eggs have hatched. π£π₯

Year 2 have really been showing off their creative skills in Art and Design Technology (DT) this term. In Art, they have learnt different ways of shaping clay and understand how to make imprints and join clay together by scoring with tools and using slip. In DT they have learnt how to do a running stitch and they have made their own pouches. Well done Year 2!

Year 1 had an amazing time at Waddesdon Manor this week. The children went into the towers of the Manor and retold the story of Sleeping Beauty using the famous paintings on the wall to help them. They dressed up as different characters and had fun cackling like the evil fairy! Lots of fun was had!

Year 1 has ended the spring term by learning about the life cycle of a frog. The children have watched the change from frogspawn to tadpoles. They then went out and released the tadpoles into the pond, ready for them to grow into froglets!
The children have done amazing writing, all about the different stages in the frogs life cycle!

Year 2 have really enjoyed designing, creating and evaluating their rainforest dioramas in DT this week from shoe boxes π¦ . They all looked amazing!

F2 have visited the farm animals today. Every child thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the animals. The children have groomed the horse, fed the cow, and thought being followed by the goats was absolutely hilarious!

Year 2 had a fantastic World Book Day (UK & Ireland) today! We buddied up with children from Turtle Class and shared stories, went on a book hunt in our outdoor area, learnt an awesome dance from Matilda, made our own bookmarks and even wrote our own comic strips. What a busy day!
World Book Day (UK & Ireland) has been thoroughly enjoyed by all! It has been wonderful seeing all the fantastic outfits and the children's comfy clothes, which they like wear whilst reading.
F1 have had a really fun day celebrating World Book Day (UK & Ireland), all topped off nicely with a hot chocolate and a story.
It was Dino Day today! Year 1 had the most amazing time exploring dinosaurs.
They discovered fossils, created their own dinosaurs out of salt dough, and chiselled the trapped dinosaurs out of the ice, but the best of all was when they met the BABY DINOSAURS!!!
We have learned so much, including different dinosaur names, what dinosaurs ate, and how long ago they lived.
Did you know dinosaurs were on the Earth around 250 million years ago? Amazing!
