Year 2 had a fantastic World Book Day (UK & Ireland) today! We buddied up with children from Turtle Class and shared stories, went on a book hunt in our outdoor area, learnt an awesome dance from Matilda, made our own bookmarks and even wrote our own comic strips. What a busy day!

It was Dino Day today! Year 1 had the most amazing time exploring dinosaurs.

They discovered fossils, created their own dinosaurs out of salt dough, and chiselled the trapped dinosaurs out of the ice, but the best of all was when they met the BABY DINOSAURS!!!

We have learned so much, including different dinosaur names, what dinosaurs ate, and how long ago they lived.
Did you know dinosaurs were on the Earth around 250 million years ago? Amazing!

Well done, Year 1!

This week the children participated in a Roaming day. The children visited different classrooms and learnt about the country Brazil. They located the country on a world map, learnt about animals in the rainforest, danced to samba music, tasted papaya and created their very own Christ the Redeemer.

This week, Year 1 baked scones linked to our DT and UK topic. The children carefully measured out the ingredients and mixed them together before kneading the dough and baking them in the oven. The scones were delicious!
In science, the children explored floating and sinking. They made their predictions and then tested which object floated and sank.
Well Done Year 1!!
