So proud of these girls for working hard and giving their best all the time. The nursery and the children would be lost without them!

Fresh air, space to move and time to play are a big part of childhood.

The University of Exeter has recently shared research showing that children now spend less than half of their playtime outdoors. At Oakfield, our outdoor play area gives children the chance to be active, imaginative and curious as part of their day. We operate free-flow play all year round, so children can choose whether to play indoors or outdoors.

Our older children also head into the local community for Forest School, giving them further opportunities to spend time in nature and learn through play.

Whether they are creating games with friends, investigating the weather or simply enjoying being outside, outdoor play is full of learning that does not need to look like a lesson.

What a wonderful team i get to share days like these with. The Aktiva Annual Awards is an amazing family day organised by the managers from all settings to show our appreciation to our teams. They all work endlessly hard and this doesn’t go unnoticed. The team received awards voted by their fellow teammates along with our parents this year. Our Parent award this year went to Sophie!
