Aktiva Nursery & Pre-School, Oakfield

We will be talking to the children about the meaning of christmas and looking at the story of the Christmas Nativity. Our display is there for the children to look at and use their imaginations when talking about the story with their rooms.

Our ‘Christmas Cafe’ and ‘Santas Workshop’ is now open at Aktiva! The children are having so much fun this week getting in the Christmas spirit 🎅🏽🎄

This evening we held a behaviour management advice session which i hope the parents found useful.

We would love to do other advice presentations…let us know what you would like to see in the comments. Examples could be healthy eating, online safety, oral health, supporting your childs development.

We want to help and support our parents as much as we can ☺️

🌟Don’t forget we are running our Baby/toddler community group tomorrow morning 9.30-11am at Aktiva Nursery/oakfield community hall, It will be on a first come first served basis at the community door and we can only allow a limited number of people in. We have lots of sensory activities this week🌟 we look forward to seeing you there

We are ready with our Coffee morning to support Macmillan Cancer support. Come along at the community centre/Aktiva Nursery

Thank you to everyone who came along to our baby and toddler group this morning, was lovely to see the mummies and babies meeting new people.

Unfortunately not everyone who signed up to come came along so on our next session it will be a first come first served basis at the door. When we reach capacity it may be that we have to turn people away.

Our next session will be the 7th October 9.30am-11am. We will engage in another sensory week 😊

For those of you that don’t know we also have a lending library for you and your children to enjoy. Simply complete the signing out form and enjoy a book at home together. This promotes communication and language for all children of any age. Our books are suitable for babies to preschoolers and also include dual language books for those children who speak another language at home. Tag us in your storytimes at home we would love to see some photos

A new area created in the childrens garden. They can dig, transport and push the vehicles around. Just need to add some plants to complete it ☺️. Let the children develop their curiosity in finding out what they can do here.

Our children are enjoying National chocolate day today! The chef supported the children in making chocolate rice krispie cakes! As you can tell the children loved their taste of chocolate!

2 children who have been with Aktiva since the beginning, they are off to school in September! These are the faces of 2 happy children who love coming to the nursery!

The children are loving the outings we do regularly, on this walk we went to see some of the children’s new school. It was very exciting!

We raised £96.77 for pyjamarama booktrust today! The children loved engaging in lots of story activities and story tuff trays! Reading to your child from an early age has so many benefits to their speech and language development.

Dont forget we also have a lending library in the nursery reception area where you can borrow books.

We are looking for a cleaner twice a week for our busy nursery and community centre. Ideally on a Sunday evening and Wednesday evening. If you are interested please email [email protected]
