🎬 From College classmates to award-winning filmmakers!

Congratulations to Buckinghamshire College Group alumni Alex Hogarth, Korben Wilkinson, Fin Jordan and Felix Pridmore, whose latest short film, Scab, is continuing to make an impact on the festival circuit.

Scab shines a light on the often-overlooked realities of living with Dermatillomania, following a young man as the coping mechanisms he relies on begin to unravel and hidden struggles come to the surface. Exploring themes of control, self-image and mental wellbeing, the film has been recognised by audiences and festival judges alike.

Following the success of Tomorrow Never Knows, Alex and the team have continued their filmmaking journey with Scab, earning awards at the London Film Club and the 2 Counties Independent Film Festival (2CIFF), as well as official selections at the Bournemouth International Film Festival and the London Breeze Film Festival.

We're incredibly proud to see Alex and the team continuing to tell meaningful stories, push their creative boundaries and gain recognition within the film industry.

From the lab classroom to an exciting career in industry!

Shammah studied T Level Laboratory Science at our Aylesbury Campus and has gone on to secure a Level 5 Degree Apprenticeship in Dairy Technology with Arla Foods. She is now developing her scientific and technical skills while gaining valuable industry experience 🧪🔬

Through hands-on learning, practical laboratory experience and industry-focused study, Shammah gained the confidence, knowledge and workplace skills needed to take the next step in her career 📈

Shammah's journey shows how a T Level qualification can lead to real career opportunities, open doors to apprenticeships, industry experience and future success.
