To ensure that you are upto date with important information and up coming events for your children please download the MCAS (My Child At School) App from either the App Store or Google Play Store as soon as possible as we try to reduce our Email communications to parents.

If you have any queries on upcoming events please visit the school website as your first port of call rather than telephoning the school office during busy times, the beginning and end of the school day. You can bookmark the school calendar to make it easier to check on day to day events.

New for September 2026 at Oak Green School – After-School Tennis Club!

We’re excited to introduce a brand-new after-school tennis club this September – a fantastic opportunity for children to have a go at tennis right here at school! Open to Years 3, 4, 5 and 6, the club welcomes all abilities, so whether your child is picking up a racket for the very first time or has played before, everyone is welcome. Sessions are led by an LTA-qualified coach, cost just £5 per session, and no experience is necessary. Even better, the first 15 children to sign up will receive a FREE tennis racket to keep!

Unlike many team sports where children may only touch the ball a handful of times during a game, every player will have their own racket and tennis balls for the entire session, giving them constant opportunities to learn, practise, improve and have fun. Best of all, the tennis doesn’t stop when the evenings get darker—we’ll be playing on the school’s floodlit Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), so the club will continue right through the autumn and winter, whatever the light.

Sessions are 15, 22, 29 Sept, 13, 20 Oct, 3, 10, 17, 24 Nov, 1, 8, 15 Dec 2026
