More to come soon 👀

How much can lighting change your self-tape? 🎬

At our recent casting workshop, we played around with different lighting setups for an audition tape. By adding some cinematic lighting and a few props, you can completely change the look and feel of your performance.

Sometimes it’s the little things that can make your tape stand out.

Would you try this?

It could make the difference when it comes to landing your next job.

A great Sunday at Black Elk Film School 🎬

This weekend we held a casting workshop for our new actors, and it was brilliant to see so many of them step up and give it a go. We saw some really strong performances!

All of these actors are now going to be part of the horror film our AM group are making, so this was the first step towards getting everyone into their roles.

We can’t wait to see what they do with it 👀

If you’re 13–19 and want to get involved in making films with us, come along for a free 3-hour taster session. Link in bio.

🎬 Rehearsal vs. the final scene from The Bus Stop

We first shot some test footage in the studio to work out the scene, the performances and the camera before taking it to the actual location.

Then we filmed it properly

This is why we rehearse. You get to try things, make mistakes, figure out what works and then bring it all together when it matters.

Practice makes perfect... or at least it gets you a lot closer. 😂

If you've got the acting skills and want to put them to work, come and join us. We make films every week.
