Aktiva Nurseries at Kingsbrook View Primary Academy

The children enjoyed making sentend tea in the mud kitchen, lovely to finally have some sunshine. Learning about nature's ingredients.

The chicks are adjusting perfectly to their new brooder!

We now have 5 baby chicks-

The children have been so gentle and curious, watching them move, listening to their tiny chirps, and noticing how they stay close together.

Tiny crack. Day 3 and we have spotted our first crack… and heard those first little chirps. We are all waiting very patiently (well… trying to) for the first arrival.

We have had a very exciting delivery this week, eggs in the incubator. The children have been full of ideas about what might hatch, from penguins to crocodiles and even a dinosaur (we are not ruling anything out just yet). We will be watching closely over the next few days and sharing updates as things develop.
