We have a vacancy available for a SEN Tutor at our tuition centre based at Fairford Leys Community Centre, Aylesbury. Full time and part time roles are available.
Salary ranges from £22,500 to £24,000 per year based on experience.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tutor to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on making a difference in the lives of children and young people with diverse learning needs. You will provide tailored one-to-one or small group support, helping students achieve their academic and personal goals in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver personalised learning plans that meet the individual needs of students with SEN on a stage not age approach. Supporting emotional and social development alongside academic progress.
Collaborate with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure a holistic approach. Monitor and report on student progress with clear strategies for improvement. Create engaging, inclusive lessons that inspire confidence and independence.
We’re looking for someone who is:
Experienced in working with SEN students (e.g., autism, ADHD, dyslexia, speech and language needs).
Someone who is patient, empathetic, and adaptable in their teaching style.
Able to build strong, positive relationships with students and families.
Creative in developing strategies to overcome barriers to learning.

We're expanding! Based at The Fairford Leys Community Centre, Aylesbury, we currently utilise several rooms for teaching local young people with SEND. To do so, it's important that we provide appropriate spaces, not only for learning but for discussion and periods of relaxation as well. Did you know, ADHD is more often diagnosed in boys than girls? Girls are more likely to only exhibit inattentiveness and are less likely to show disruptive behaviour that makes ADHD symptoms more obvious. This means girls who have ADHD may not always be diagnosed. (Source: NHS England)
