Why do I keep banging on about this petition?
Well, the latest news in Bella Catten's story, is that she may not even be allowed to take GCSE PE from September, because she doesn't do one of the 'approved sports' outside of school.
This kid trains 3-4 times a week in martial arts, is studying towards becoming a Junior Instructor, competes very successfully and is attending her first international competition next month. Sport is her life. And yet she can't do GCSE PE? How can this possibly be fair??
Bella is far from the only one. You only have to read our ambassador's stories to see that.
So please, even if it doesn't affect you personally, please take the time to sign the petition, click the link in your email and then share this post. It'll take 30 seconds of your time but will make a big difference to us.
We are always after more ambassadors and club/student pictures too, so if you are a MA student and want us to tell your story, or a MA club who wants to be featured, contact us!
Lastly, if you are a secondary PE teacher, we desperately need to hear from you. It is your voice that may make the real difference. Please get in touch.

Petition: Reinstate Martial Arts as one of the approved activities for GCSE PE Martial Arts is a popular sport for children. Yet dedicated, passionate, talented students can no longer use them for GCSE. I think Martial Arts are wholly inclusive, appeal to all genders, all ethnic backgrounds and children with SEN. They can help promote fitness, self-discipline and respect.

Please could I ask all my friends and family to sign this petition? All you need is your name and email address.
A group of parents and TKD instructors are trying to get martial arts like Taekwondo reinstated as one of the approved sports for GCSE PE. It is so unfair that children like Bella Catten, who live and breathe the sport are unable to use it towards their qualification. We have lots of ideas for getting noticed but if anyone has any suggestions, we are open to them!

As a lot of you know, I have a particular interest in dyslexia and am hoping to train as an assessor 🙏

To my friends and family who encouraged me all the way. To all the parents of students past and present who have spread the word and recommended me to others. To all the parents of my current students who continue to support my little business. And finally, to all my students who enable me to do the job I love and never cease to make me smile. THANK YOU ❤

So true. 🧡

I'm always telling my students that it's OK to find English tricky!

True.

Is your child sitting the 11+ in September? Or even a Year 4 keen to see what it's all about? I'm running two hour 11+ workshops in Aylesbury over the summer holidays, giving children the opportunity to sit a full length practice test in exam conditions and then work through the answers. Workshops will be held in groups of up to 4 children and there are a variety of dates and times available. The cost is £30 per child, per workshop. Ping me a message for the dates and more information.

Reading aloud is so important!
