If you're wondering what to do over the bank holiday weekend, why not pop into King John's Hunting Lodge in Axbridge Square. Not only is it packed with amazing artefacts and local history, it's also the last chance to see the wonderful artwork and informative writing from Redwood Class that has been on display over the summer. Well worth a visit.

📚✨ A wonderful author visit to look back on! ✨📚

At the end of last term, we were delighted to welcome the brilliant Sean Taylor to Axbridge! 🌟

Sean spent time with our Key Stage 1 children, sharing his love of words and poetry before helping them to create and perform their very own poems. ✍️📖🎤 It was fantastic to see so much imagination, laughter and creativity – and the children were incredibly proud of what they produced!

And the experience didn't stop there… 📚❤️

Thanks to a wonderful donation through the Wells Festival of Literature, every single child in our school received a book by Sean to take home and enjoy! What an incredibly generous gift and a fantastic way to encourage a love of reading across our whole school community. 🎁📖

A huge thank you to Sean Taylor and the Wells Festival of Literature for giving our children such a memorable experience. We feel very lucky! 🌟👏

We have loved the process of researching, practicing and making our Egyptian death masks out of paper mache and we’re super proud of the results! We think even Tutankhamun would be jealous!

🏴‍☠️Ahoy there shipmates! What a great pirate and mermaid🧜‍♀️adventure we’ve had in nursery!⚓️

We climbed aboard the Busy Bees ship and set sail on a day packed with excitement, imagination and discovery🌊🏴‍☠️🧜‍♀️

We enjoyed splashing in our water play, played fun pirate and mermaid games, created shell necklaces, walked the plank like real pirates, made our very own pirate hats and treasure maps and followed the clues on a treasure hunt🗺️ We finished off our adventure with a picnic.

As we sail towards the end of another wonderful year, new adventures are on the horizon for everyone. Some of our children will head to school and we can’t wait to see where the next voyage takes our amazing, youngest learners 🐝

Thank you to all of our wonderful parents for supporting us along the way.

🎸🥁 Our final big musical performance of the year!

🎶🌟 What an unforgettable day for our incredible Year 3 and Year 4 children! 🌟🎶

Today, our pupils spent the afternoon rehearsing, refining their performances and then taking to the stage in front of a huge audience at the spectacular Wookey Hole Caves Theatre, performing alongside children from schools across the county. 🎤✨

We were incredibly proud to represent the Wessex Learning Trust, but even prouder of our amazing children. They performed with such confidence, enthusiasm and joy, singing their hearts out and showcasing everything that makes Axbridge such a special place. They truly were outstanding! ❤️👏

A huge thank you to Somerset Music for organising such a fantastic event and giving our children the opportunity to be part of something so memorable. 🎼🎵

Finally, a massive thank you to all of our wonderful parents and families who came along to support. Your encouragement meant the world to the children, and we're fairly sure we had the loudest and proudest supporters in the theatre! 😁📣💙💛

We couldn't be prouder... and we already can't wait to do it all again next year! 🤩🎶

Free to a good home or school, free pick up from the school car park. Please help yourself. More tables to be added over the next day or two. The two metal filing cabinets are fully working and open well. The blue metal bookshelf just needs the shelf putting back on, it's fully functional and has lots of life left in it.
