👓 Sight Week 👓

Lovely busy morning again had by all. We welcomed Tommy to play group this morning. Children are so good at their actions to our morning songs, well done everyone. 😊

We had out an opticians out for the boys and girls. Children loved exploring the different glasses. We had some animals that needed glasses too. The children enjoyed exploring the different coloured lenses. We had mirror out and under water theme to look at with our glasses on. Some children done great job at the paw patrol puzzle. We had the cars and paw patrol characters out. Post office, dinosaur, threading and see saw.
Treasure box was great exploring different materials, beads, shells and wooden objects. 🐚🧩🐾👓🤓🧐😎

Snack today was cereal. Cheerios which we thought was the space of eyes. With apples, pineapple and banana. 🍌🍏🍍

After snack some boys and girls were doing some lovely singing in the book corner. So we so done some circle games and danced to move it and maccariana.

Grouptime we sang up high and goodbye song. Shona read fox socks.

👋🏼Touch Week 👋🏼

Another lovely busy morning had by all the boys and girls. We welcomed Evy and Nathan to play group this morning. 😊

Staying with touch the children enjoyed exploring our sensory tray with lentils, pasta, yellow spilt peas, cotton wool ans pipe cleaner. The children enjoyed exploring the textures with their hands, the cotton wool ans pipe cleaners were super tickly. They also enjoyed pouring and filling in the sensory tray. We also had out soft balls, soft animals to exploring with our hands. Some children enjoyed rolling the ball to each other.
We also done some tracing with stencils and paper, children were encouraged to feel for the shapes under the paper and then rub their crayon on top. Children again enjoyed looking after their babies, sing them, walks in the prams and feeding them in the high chair. We also had the cars, wooden blocks and dinosaurs out to. Children also done great stacking with the wooden blocks, counting and sorting into sizes from small to large. Our physical activity was the stepping stones and the see saw. 🧑‍🍼👩‍🍼🚗🚓🚘🧱🦖🦕

Snack today was crackers with hummus and apples, carrots and oranges. The children enjoyed exploring dipping with the hummus so,e loved using their fingers and licking them. 👅🥕🍊🍎

Grouptime today we sang up high song, hedgehog very prickly and head shoulders , knees and toes. We spoke about our hands and all the fun things in our box, where hard and soft. We reminded them about having kind gentle hands. We skipped to get our shoes and coats on. 🦔😊

👋🏼 Touch Week 👋🏼

Busy morning had by all the boys and girls. Children are great at doing their actions to their morning song. We welcomed Arabella to playgroup this morning. 😊

Children enjoyed exploring our sensory tray today with lentils (orange balls) cotton wool (snow) and pasta. Exploring the textures with our hands, pouring and filling with cups and spoons. We also had the dolls and prams. Great at showing caring and affectionate side looking after and caring for the babies. We also done some great sharing with the prams. Staying with our touch theme we done some stencil rubbings with crayons. Feeling with our hands to find the stencil and where to rub. 👏🧑‍🍼👩‍🍼

Snack today was crackers, carrots, apples, oranges and hummus. We talked about it being a crunchy snack lots of licking the hummus with our fingers. 🥕🍎🍊

We also done some dancing together, running on the stop, clapping, holding hands making circles, lunges and squats. Lots of great physical movement by all.

Grouptime we sang up high and goodbye song. We spoke about touch what was in our sensory tray, orange balls, snow and pasta. We use our sense touch to explore it.

Lovely productive morning had by all the boys and girls. We are getting so good at our morning action song. Today we done the junk modelling before snack the children all took their time in choosing what they wanted to make. Sat and concentrated for a long time making their castle, rockets. Well done everyone. 🖌️👩🏻‍🎨👨‍🎨🚀🏰

Children loved animal hospital exploring the x ray room, helping the animals feel better, they also love exploring the helicopter and ambulance. We played the game who nose? We done the gruffalo puzzle together. Children loved hiding in the cube with the parachute over it. Physical activities was the bridge and the stepping stones for some balance. Also played the floor is lava game which they all loved. We had threading out for our fine motor skills. 🐶🐕‍🦺🚑🏥🚁🩻

Snack today was pizza and garlic bread with cucumber, peppers and raisins. 🥒🍕🍅

After snack we played with parachute, making it super windy together. Then everyone hide underneath the parachute and we played p*e a boo. So funny as everyone hair went super static 🤣🤪

Grouptime today Shona read as a story called acthoo. Then we sang up high, incy spider, humpy dumpety, wind the bobbin up and ring a roses together. Isla chose everyone to be unicorns to get dressed to go home. 🦄🕷️🕸️🥚🧵🌹

Wow what a lovely busy morning had by all the boys and girls. Children very super busy exploring the animal hospital and paw patrol characters. Off on rescue mission to help animals in need.
Children enjoyed working on their fine motors skills with the threading box. Some children enjoyed doing the gruffalo and dinosaur puzzle together. Physical activities today was bridge, stepping stones and cube. The children loved hiding in the cube, making it home for ambulance and helicopter.
Children enjoyed making towers, houses with the wooden blocks. 🏥🐕‍🦺🐶🚁🚑🧵🪡

Snack today was pizza, garlic bread with peppers, cucumber and raisins. 🍕🥒🍅

After snack the children all got super creative in there junk model mission. Children concentrate really well and we had lots of fantastic designs, castle, planes and rockets. Children also enjoyed dancing to Barbie song together. 💃🏽🚀 🏰✈️

Grouptime today we sang up high and goodbye song. Shona choose everyone to tiptoe to get their coats and shoes on.

Children are all getting good at the actions to our welcome song in the morning. 🎶🎵

Today we had the dressing up, children enjoyed dressing up in dresses, Spider-Man and firefighters. The children love imaginative play in the fire truck we have. Gross motor skill today was the hula hops, children exploring how to make it spin around them. Children loved going on the see saw together. We also had the airport out and planes, with the large cars and dinosaurs. We done a incy spider puzzle that had story book and puzzle sang the song also. Children construction today was the magnetic blocks building towers together and knocking them down. We Played who nose game also.🧯🚒🔥🤸🏼‍♀️🛩️✈️🏎️🚙🧩🕸️🕷️

Snack today was haggis , neeps ans tatties with oranges, pears and apples. All the children tried and haggis well done everyone. 🍎🍐🍊

After snack we had tartan flags by gluing tartan on to our flags. The children all concentrated hard on this activity. While listening to Scottish music. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🎵

After tidying up we had grouptime and we sang up high song. Shona read the children peppa goes to Scotland book, which had the Loch Ness monster in it. Children really enjoyed and sat lovely to listen to the story. We learnt the Scottish word Aye for yess. We sang goodbye song and Levi chose everyone to be frog to get their coats and shoes on. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

📍Can we please ask if you have any junk or recycling materials to please bring in for next week. We are going to be doing some junk modelling with everyone. 🎠

All the boys and girls looked fabulous in their tartan outfits. We welcomed Indi to play group today. Everyone showed her the actions to our welcome song. 🎶🎵

Today we had the dressing up out which was a great success with dresses being tried on and swapped. Gloves, butterfly wings and hats being worn. We also had a fire engine out which everyone enjoyed using sharing and taking turns. Gross motor skills today was the hula hops and the see-saw.
We had the airport and big cars out today, children enjoyed exploring things that fly like rockets, helicopters and planes. Children enjoyed doing a paw patrol puzzle today and exploring the dolls house and new dinosaur toys we have. 👗👨‍🚒🧯🚒🧤✈️🚀🚁

Snack today was haggis, nepps and tatties, with oatcakes. Also apples, pears and oranges. 🍎🍊🍐🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

After snack we doing some Scottish dancing and Grace G showed us her river dancing. We also made our own tartan flags. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Lovely morning at playgroup today. Children all sang their welcome song and done the actions.

We had a lovely trip to the library to visit Jane who read us three lovely stories, one was about the monkey with the blue bottom we all found this very funny. They others where hey dougie and superhero one. 📚📖
Children enjoyed the climbing frame today exploring different ways to go down the slide. Tummies, backs, hands first and sidey ways also. This great development of their gross motors skills. Learning to wait their turn also. Someone children enjoyed playing lava game around the climbing frame and bridge. We had new wooden toys out that help develop the children hand eye coordination and concentration skills. Children loved playing p*e-a-boo with the scarves from the treasure box. We had paw patrol out and also dinosaur out. Children enjoyed doing some selfies on the iPad, looking at our tongues and teeth. Great posing girlies. Children also done some lovely drawings with the pens. 🌈🛝🧗🏼‍♀️🧗‍♂️🔥📸

Snack today was yoghurts, biscuit, apples, bananas and pineapple. 🍎🍌🍍

Grouptime today we sang up high and looked at our other new finger puppets. We sang hickory dock, 12345 and baa black sheep. 🐭⏰🐠🐑
Ben chose everyone to be dinosaurs to get their coats and shoes on. 🦖🦕

Fantastic busy morning had by all. Children love to sing and sign their morning song. 🎵

Today we had the climbing frame out which was loved by all, children worked on their gross motor skills, learning to wait and take turns on the climbing frame. Slide is always great fun. 🧗🏼‍♀️🧗‍♂️🛝
We also had popdios out where the children imagination and construction skills where used. Children made great models. Children also enjoyed building towers with the coloured wooden blocks with Shona.
We also had the treasure box out, children explore textures, shapes with the shells , beads, pegs and rings. Children also enjoyed the wooden winter animals and igloos. Chatting about animals living in the north and south poles and how people keep warm over there. ❄️🧱🌈🐚🐻‍❄️🐧

Snack today was yoghurts with apples, pineapple and banana with a buscuit. 🍎🍍🍌

After snack Broody asked for some music, we put on some Disney tunes and boys and girls loved dancing away together 💃🏽🕺🏻

Grouptime today we sang up high. Shona showed the children new gifted toys we got a book bug and new finger puppets. We sang twinkle twinkle little star ⭐️ incey spider 🕷️ and the goodbye songs 👋🏼 Darcy chose everyone to be dinosaur to get the coats and shoes on.

❄️❄️ Another Britterly Cold Morning ❄️❄️

Everyone was warm at playgroup today. The children are all settling in well to routine at playgroup, the older children are helping and looking out for the new starts. Which is making a Lovely warm nurturing environment for all.

Today’s we had the planes out with George, bluey and peppa riding on the planes. Also had the construction yard out today with the bricks and tools. We have a new hammering set which helps with hand eye coordination. Lots of great engineering going on with the bricks and tools. Knocking down is also more fun tho. Children loved exploring the new till toy we have out. Children enjoyed sharing stories together in the cosy corner. The children enjoyed making mr and mrs potato head making them look funny with big arms and moustache. Cars, dolls house and dinosaurs out 🦖🚗📖🥸 ✈️

Snack today was crackers, cream spread, apples, oranges and grapes. 🍊🍇🧀🍎

The Thursday children made their calendars and others did some lovely pictures with the pens. 🖍️

Grouptime today was sang up high and goodbye song. Shona read us the story the Wonky Donkey. Rennie was a fantastic at doing the hee haw 🫏

✨🎇Happy New Year 🎇✨

Great to back with the boys and girls. We chatted lots about what Santa had brought us and all the yummy food that was eaten. We welcomed three new faces to merry go round Ben, Hattie and Poppy. Who all settled well to new life at playgroup. The older children also helped settle the new boys and girls in which is great to see caring from the older children. They had a sense of pride ans belonging to merry go round. ☺️

Today we had a busy morning getting back to routine. The children loved exploring mr and mrs potato head. We had new trucks that the children found great fun putting the smaller cars into. Other children enjoyed listening to Janice story in the book corner. We also had the stilts out working on our balancing and hand eye coordination. We had out the dinosaur and train tracks for the boys and girls. 🚗🏎️🚂📖🦖🦕🤸🏼🤸🏼‍♀️

Snack today was apples, green grapes, oranges and crackers with cream, cheese. 🍎🍇🍊🧀

The children enjoyed making their own calendars for home. Children coloured ans stuck stickers on their calendars 📆

Grouptime today we sang up high, twinkle little star and goodbye song.

🎅🏼🎄 Christmas Party 🎄🎅🏼

What a wonderful party. All the children looked fabulous in their party outfits. To start our party the boys and girls made Christmas party hats with glue, stickers. Hats look great. They were did some dancing with our balloons and we played pass the parcel. 🎅🏼🎄🪩✨

Snack today was party food. We had cheese, apples, banana, apples, cake, crisps, cheese, sausages and cheese onion rolls. 🍌🍎🍇🍞🧀🧁🍩🍫

After snack we played musical statues and the floor is lava game. We also played row our boats, swimming and the conga train.

Eric let the boys and girls into the big hall as it’s beautiful decorated and we got some lovely photos by the tree and santa. 🎄🎅🏼

They were all did fantastic singing for the mum and dads. We sang jingle bells super loud and Santa left us some presents. 🎁✨

Saying a big goodbye and all the best at nursery to Millie and Jamie.
