Rosecroft Primary School

This is where you can find any important changes to the School Calendar. Please continue to look at our website for more detailed information.

Rosecroft Primary School is sited about 15 miles south-west of Norwich. It used to be Attleborough Infant School and is due to move to a new site in London Road in January 2018. It serves the growing town of Attleborough, as well as a number of outlying villages.

[07/14/21]   As pupils are not having to isolate, we envisage the Y6 transition to Attleborough Academy will go ahead. Should this change we will let you know.

[07/14/21]   Following advice, we have taken the difficult decision to close the school and nursery for two days to enable a deep clean. This is due to a positive case within our community. Online learning will be published on our website tomorrow.

[07/05/21]   If you normally come on site by car as part of a pre-arranged agreement, please could you arrive after 10.25 to allow all the other pupils to come on site safely. Many thanks!

[07/05/21]   We're very pleased to share that the fault has now been fixed and we are able to open as follows:

10.00 - Reception and Y5/6
10.05 - Sibling areas will be open for drop offs
10.10 - KS1 and Y3/4

Please enter through your normal gate.

Many thanks for your patience and understanding.

[07/05/21]   Good morning, unfortunately we currently have no working fire alarms nor hot water in the main school building. The engineer is on site. We therefore need to remain closed until 10am, by which time we should be able to make a decision regarding the rest of the day. The nursery is unaffected and can open as usual. We will update you as soon as we know more.

[05/11/21]   Just a reminder to all parents and carers of our meetings today regarding the proposed federation with Attleborough Primary. The meetings are at 2pm and 6.30pm today. Details for joining were in Friday's newsletter. Please take the time to join us and share your views or ask any questions you may have.

The children at Rosecroft Primary School are all absolute superheroes for the way they returned for their first week back as a full school! We couldn't be more proud of their resilience and positive attitudes.

Ruby certainly embodied the role of 'Supergirl' during World Book Day! What a fantastic costume! It was lovely to see everyone's fantastic book-inspired outfits and we hoped you enjoyed the various reading activities on offer.

LOOK AWAY IF YOUโ€™RE EATING!

Watch out! Mr Rhodes has turned into a โ€˜Gigglerโ€™.

Gigglers are small, blue elf-like creatures that punish adults for being mean to children. How do they do this? They put poo under the adultโ€™s feet so they step on it! Where does the poo come from? Dogs! In particular, Mr Rhodesโ€™ supplier is this fabulous cockapoo, Mabel. Every poo Mabel makes, sheโ€™s given 50p by the Giggler. Sheโ€™s a millionaire already!

Adults, make sure youโ€™re kind to your children or you may find youโ€™re stepping in something smelly very soon!

OUR FIRST MASKED READER IS BEING REVEALED ON FRIDAY 5TH MARCH!

[02/11/21]   Apologies for the confusion this afternoon at pick up, an email was sent out earlier advising of the procedure but due to a technical glitch within our system that has now been reported, this only went to a couple of bubbles.
Entering the school in the morning will be through the out gate with KS2 first at 8.50am, then KS1 and EYFS at 8.55am.
At pick up, please form one socially distanced queue at the out gate and we will have all pupils in bubbles on the plaza, with the youngest closest to the building.
We know that the vast majority of our parents have worked with us to keep everyone as safe as possible by joining the queue and following the instructions of staff; thank you.

[02/10/21]   Bubbles 9 and 10 are closed due to staffing issues. The rest of the school is open as usual. Please take care coming in, the public footpaths are treacherous.

[02/09/21]   We are planning to re-open tomorrow for our key worker and vulnerable children, unless conditions worsen overnight. There will be no breakfast or after school club however. Please see the email that has just gone out for more details.

[02/08/21]   The school will remain shut tomorrow, Tuesday 9th February, due to more snow due today and overnight. Home learning is available on the website and teachers are available via the class email addresses.

[02/08/21]   Thank you to everyone who has shared their pictures from today's unexpected snow day. They have given us a lovely snapshot of a memorable day in the middle of the current lockdown and we hope it has lifted many people's spirits in what continues to be a tricky time for all. We will stop posting them on here now, but will put them on the school website. The snow is still falling and we hope to be able to inform you later today what our plans are regarding school opening tomorrow.
Do keep safe and warm!
