💭 If you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?

We asked our team at Funding Futures… and their answers were a reminder that none of us have it all figured out. 💗

We all make mistakes, face setbacks, doubt ourselves and take different paths and that’s okay.

Because you don’t have to have everything figured out to have a bright future. ✨ Sometimes, all you need is a little support, someone to believe in you, and the confidence to keep going.

That’s what Funding Futures is all about helping young people believe in what’s possible and build a future they can be proud of. 🌱

❤️ Let’s make a difference and create a lasting impact in our local community!

We’re bringing a really special community venue to life near HMP Styal, which will be home to a coffee shop and bookshop. ☕📚

This is about so much more than coffee and books. It’s about creating a welcoming space, building connections and making a real difference to women’s lives.

We’re looking for construction companies, decorators, tradespeople and suppliers who would like to make a positive social impact by donating some time, skills or products to help us get the project off the ground.

Our current needs include:
🎨 Paint
🌿 Vinyl wallpaper
📚 Shelving

We have a small budget to contribute where needed, so we’re open to collaborations, trade discounts and support with materials or labour.

Sometimes you reach a point where you have two choices…

You can stay where you are, keep doing what you’ve always done and tell yourself you’ll make a change “one day”.

Or you can take a new path. 🌱

Try something different.
Learn something new.
Meet new people.
Build your confidence.
Take a step towards something better.

You don’t have to know exactly where the new path will lead. You just have to be willing to take that first step.

💗 World Mental Health Day | Your first step could change so much

Today is a reminder that looking after your mental health doesn’t always mean making a huge change. Sometimes, it starts with one small step.

At Funding Futures, we know that starting something new can feel daunting. You might feel nervous, lack confidence or wonder if you’ll fit in but you don’t have to have it all figured out before you begin.

Our fully funded courses give women the opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence, meet new people and take positive steps towards their future, all with the support of people who believe in them.

Because sometimes, taking that first step is the hardest part and you don’t have to take it alone. 💗

🎄 COULD YOU HELP US MAKE CHRISTMAS A LITTLE BRIGHTER? 🎄

We’re getting ready for Operation Christmas at Funding Futures, and we’re looking for local businesses, organisations and community spaces who would be happy to become a collection point for us. ❤️

Operation Christmas is our way of giving back to every woman who has been through a Funding Futures course, helping them access gifts for themselves and their families so they have something to open on Christmas morning. 🎁

We’re collecting new gifts for women, men and children, including toys, games, beauty and hygiene items, Christmas treats and other gifts that could bring a little extra joy to a family this Christmas.

🎁 Could you host a collection box at your workplace, business or community space?

One collection point could help us collect so many more gifts. ❤️

At Funding Futures, our programmes are about you. You'll learn practical things, get involved, meet other women, have conversations, ask questions, have a laugh and most importantly build your confidence. We're not here to make you feel like a student.

We're here to help you feel capable, supported and ready to take your next step. School isn't for everyone. But learning something new could be exactly what you need.
