Lads, the women are putting you to shame. 😂⁣

One thing I’ve noticed after years of coaching is women are generally much easier to push through the horrible stuff.⁣

High reps. Hard sets. Training to failure. Give them something that looks absolutely disgusting on paper and they’ll usually just get on with it.⁣

A lot of lads? Different story 😂⁣

If your goal is to build muscle, you need to be prepared to actually train hard. Turning up and going through the motions isn’t enough.⁣

So lads, next time you’re about to call a set because it’s getting uncomfortable, have a look around the gym.⁣

There’s probably a woman somewhere making you look lazy. 👊⁣

The devils in the detail 😈😮‍💨⁣

Here is my lovely friend Daisy displaying her excellent upper back development and condition whilst performing a Behind the Neck pulldown this morning.⁣

The behind the neck pulldown is an under utilised tool for me, I personally love it because of how it feels on my shoulders 🤣 but when performed correctly the upper back engagement and contraction is superior to pulldowns to the front.⁣

You can’t cheat it either, there’s no rocking back and forward it’s a true test of your strength. ⁣

Add it in to your routine if you want a sexy back like Daisy 🌼🔥

The kids are back at school. The routine is back. Now it’s your turn.⁣

There are still four months until Christmas. That’s plenty of time to get stronger, fitter, leaner and build some proper habits.⁣

Stop waiting for January to sort yourself out.⁣
Start now and see where you can be by Christmas.⁣

I’ve got spaces available for online coaching this September. Drop me a message if you’re ready to get started.⁣

Double Trouble 👯‍♀️🔥⁣

Here are two of my absolute favourite ladies, Karen first up and then Kaylee. ⁣

Karen’s getting better week in, week out, at the moment. Here are her latest check in pics from her holiday last week, unfortunately Mother Nature kicked in while she was away so just imagine how tight she would look when she’s off her cycle. ⁣

Karen’s always been amazing but I’ve had to build her confidence in fuelling herself instead of being scared of food and in the gym getting strong. With the right push anyone can be amazing.⁣

Now for Kaylee, we’ve achieved a lot while we’ve been together up to now. We manage a busy schedule of running and integrate some strength training in between and follow some properly dialled in macros and nutrition guidelines to make sure she’s adequately fuelled for the week and actually enjoying her life instead of stuck in a starvation/binge yoyo forever. ⁣

Twice exceptional ladies with very different goals, both achieved amazing things up to now just by adding some strength training into their lives and tidying their diets up, both in different ways.⁣

Strength is for everyone, drop me a message if you need some help showing you how to make it for you. ⁣

Part 3 of why athletes should train more like women.⁣

Women put a lot of focus into training their glutes. Athletes should too.⁣

Your glutes are a massive driver of acceleration, jumping, changing direction and power, while also helping stabilise the pelvis and connect what your upper and lower body are doing.⁣

So glute training isn’t just about building your bum 😂⁣

For an athlete, stronger glutes can mean a stronger, more powerful body.⁣

Women have been giving them the attention for years. Athletes, take note.⁣

Am I going deep enough? 😅⁣

I get asked this all the time, especially as we start pushing the weight up.⁣

Full range of motion is important, but that doesn’t mean every single rep you ever do needs to be as deep as physically possible.⁣

Heavy partials have their place.⁣

Used properly, they can expose you to heavier loads, help you get stronger and give the muscle a different stimulus. The key is using them as part of your training, not shortening every rep just so you can say you lifted more weight.⁣

There’s a time to push the load and a time to prioritise range.⁣

Knowing when to use each one is where good programming comes in.⁣

If you need help structuring your training and actually progressing it, drop me a message.⁣

What an amazing morning 🥰💜⁣

I welcomed my some of my clients in to PWR this morning to sit down for a seminar around my system, The Beyond Method.⁣

I like to get everybody down 2/3 times a year and see them face to face, get everything on the board and show them the full system up close instead of my delivering it in bits over WhatsApp and in their Check-In. ⁣

As good as my welcome pack is now it can’t encompass everything that’s swirling around inside my brain each day 🤣🤣⁣

Crazy to think that this is only about 1/3 of my team now and a few people didn’t want to be on the pic. So proud of what we’ve done this year and where we are going next 🚀⁣

Thanks for coming everybody, I appreciate your time and trust in me and my methods. ⁣

You are sum total of the people your surrounded by and by god I must be amazing because this group are truly exceptional people 🙏✨⁣

If you would like to be part of something special and join the team then drop me a message, I have packages to suit everybody.⁣

Let’s smash the rest of 2026 👊

Creatine is one of the few supplements I’d recommend to pretty much everyone who trains.⁣

It works, there’s plenty of research behind it and you really don’t need to overcomplicate it.⁣

I’d say 5g a day minimum, take it consistently and get on with it.⁣

You don’t need to load it.⁣
You don’t need to cycle it.⁣
That bit of extra scale weight is water, not fat.⁣
And no, taking creatine isn’t going to make you bald.⁣

It can help with strength, performance and recovery, and there’s some really interesting research around cognitive benefits too.⁣

There are plenty of supplements I wouldn’t bother spending your money on. Creatine isn’t one of them.⁣

Get your 5g in.⁣

Hamstring Training 🦵🏋️⁣

Hamstring Training is super easy to put together, you hinge at the hip and you bend at the knee. ⁣

That’s a real over simplification 🤣 but broadly speaking there are certain variations of hinges that absolutely smoke your hamstrings and then you need to incorporate a leg curl, lying, seated or standing and switch between single and double leg work on everything to even out the differences between your legs. ⁣

Typically I like to train the hamstrings heavier and in the lower rep ranges, 5-8 reps but we do work higher rep sets occasionally. I think hamstrings are something that you should overly rely on sensation too to make sure you’re targeting them properly, if you can feel them they are working. ⁣

Work hard, hit them heavy and make sure they burn 🔥 😮‍💨⁣
