Advance Notice – Weather Conditions

In anticipation of the forecasted snow tomorrow, we would like to inform you that we are endeavouring to be open as normal. However, we kindly ask for your patience as our staff travel to the nursery. Some of our team live locally, where most of us do travel a distance to get to nursery and road conditions may be challenging, so arrival/opening times may be affected.

Additionally, several members of staff have school-aged children. Should schools close and/or public transport be impacted, this may impact staffing levels further and therefore reduce the number of places available. If you are able to keep your child at home, we would be very grateful if this could be strongly considered. Please notify us of this if this is an option for you via the Famly app.

If you are travelling, please take extra care, safety must be paramount, particularly on the approach to the nursery as some of you may know already this week.

We will provide further updates if necessary as soon as possible and thank you in advance for your understanding and kindness.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...🎄
We celebrated our work's Christmas party on the weekend and the nursery is all set up and decorated for the children & staff. Our elves are out and about in nursery so beware of what tricks they may get up to... 🎅

Mother’s Day Stay and Play
We would like to thank you all for attending our Mother’s Day Stay Play on Monday 31st March. We hope you all had a lovely time 💐💕

What a busy month we have had! We have had many different celebrations for the month of March, Shrove Tuesday 🥞, World Book Day 📚, St.Patricks Day ☘️, Red Nose Day🔴 and we still have Mother’s Day to come 💐

We have taken part in many different activities throughout the nursery, by creating our own pancakes through play dough as well as making them from scratch! Yummy!!

We took part in World Book Day where we dressed up as our favourite characters and shared our favourite stories with our friends. We have also began to introduce our lending library in Pre-school which is located outside the Pre-school room with a folder for each child to select a book and swap it with another when they have finished (if you have any unwanted books you would like to donate to our bookcase we would appreciate this).

We then celebrated St.Patricks Day by using a variety of green resources to explore as well as printing with some fresh peppers and wearing the colour green.

And finally we celebrated Red Nose Day by wearing red and getting creative by making red noses out of play dough, some of us even had our noses painted!

We look forward to our Mothers Day stay and play on Monday 31st March, 2-3pm 💐

The Atherstone Ball Game is a “medieval football” game which is played annually on shrove Tuesday in the English Town of Atherstone.
It is celebrating its 825th year where we were privileged to able to have a visit from the committee who organise the Atherstone Ball Game for us to explore the ball and sign ready for the game to be held on Tuesday 4th March 2025.

We would like to say a big thank you to all the parents and children who attended parents evening on Monday. We always love to hear how they are developing at home as well as nursery. We look forward to seeing you all at our upcoming events throughout the year ⭐️📚
