🌲Forest School🌲
Forest School is an outdoor, child-led approach to learning that takes place regularly in natural environments like woodlands or parks. It’s not just “playing outside” it’s a structured philosophy that supports development across multiple areas.

We are incredibly lucky to have our wonderful Forest school lead Ellen, who yesterday set up a wonderful space for our children to explore with their parents, in recognition of world bee day 🐝

💙 Bluey’s Big Blue Adventure Day 💙

What a fantastic day we had celebrating our Blue Day! The children enjoyed a range of fun blue-themed activities and games throughout the day, filling the nursery with smiles and laughter 💙

We even had a very special visit from Bluey, who brought all the disco vibes with an exciting dance party – “Wackadoo!” The children loved showing off their moves and joining in with all the fun – “For real life!” it was such a special moment!

It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, and we’re so proud to say we raised money for the Bowel Cancer Charity 💙

Thank you to everyone who supported, donated, and helped make the day so memorable – “Hooray!” 💙

Easter Egg-stravaganza 🐣 🪺 🐥 Wow, what a fantastic afternoon we had yesterday, today we invited our families to join in some Egg-citing Easter fun. We set up wonderful Easter invitation both in doors and out, we had a special visit from the Easter bunny 🐰 Thank you all for attending, we hope you had a lovely time with your little ones.

⭐️ Chatter Matters week 2026 ⭐️

What a fun filled week we have had celebrating chatter matters week.
The children here at little stars have taken part in chatter matters singing sessions and dough disco.
We headed to our local library for a move and groove session 💃
We have also made the most of this beautiful sunshine ☀️ we have been having and headed out to the park where we enjoyed playing with the large parachute 🪂
We also went on a listening walk within the local community with our very good listening ears 👂 where we come across a very friendly duck 🦆 who let us feed him from our hands.
We finished the week with our Monkey march 🐵
We invited mums, dads or grandparents to join us on a march down to the park where we enjoyed some snack and a little play at the park, we had a fantastic turn out!

🌸Mother’s Day stay and play 🌸

Today we invited all of our mummy’s, nannies, aunties into nursery for a Mother’s Day stay and play.

We had lots going on both indoors and out, flower arranging 🌺 tea making ☕️ hand printing 🌷 and much more 🥰🩷

FOREST SCHOOL! 🌸🌻🌳🍁🍂

Yesterday some of our children headed out of nursery on the bus to our Mancetter site to take part in forest school.

The children have had to chance to take part in so many wonderful outside activities including making pop corn bird feeders, flower art in frames, planting sun flowers, making ribbon sticks, potion making and exploring the forest school area.

The children really enjoyed the morning there and we're very excited and engaged in all the activities. We also hunted for bugs in the area and found so many different bugs including worms, spiders, woodlouse and many more. The children have created some lovley things to bring home and have enjoyed the busy outside morning

We like to put the ‘Book’ back into World book day!

With our child centred pedagogy we like to reignite a love of books & stories for our children here at Little Stars (just as it was intended in 1995 by UNESCO).

The LOVE of books & the POWER of stories is our focus, and our learning environments have been filled with beautiful story inspired invitations to play.
