Cast your minds back to our Summer 2026 Musical Concert a few weeks ago - an absolute feast for the ears with our children showcasing beautiful recorder, guitar, violin, and glockenspiel ensembles, alongside splendid solos ๐ŸŽป๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽค The standard of playing was incredibly high as always and everyone was extremely proud of what they achieved together ๐ŸŒŸ

Since 2016, the Astwood Bank Primary Orchestra has truly grown from strength to strength, now boasting over 50 talented members! We canโ€™t wait to see what more they get up to next year, but for now, relive the magic of their grand finale performance of Budapest! ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽธ๐ŸŽปโœจ

Students got up close with microscopes to investigate plant parts, identifying ovules and zooming in on anthers, and were thrilled to see real-life butterfly eggs up close ๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿฅš

Bringing our โ€˜Life Cycleโ€™ topic to life! ๐Ÿšœ๐ŸŒฑ From learning about reptiles & bugs to feeding the friendly farm animals, Reception had the best day out on Monday ๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿฎ

The children were so brave in the creepy-crawly & reptile workshop, stroking stick insects, millipedes, geckos, and even a tarantula! ๐Ÿ•ท๏ธ๐ŸฆŽ They also loved having gentle cuddles with the rabbits, guinea pigs and ferrets ๐Ÿฐ

They rounded off the learning adventure by burning off some energy on the playground and soft play. A great time had by all! ๐Ÿ›โœจ

Year 2 had the sweetest visit to Cadbury World last Friday! ๐Ÿซโœจ It was the perfect way to bring together all of their history learning about chocolate and the Cadbury family ๐Ÿ“š

Even though it was a very hot day, the children were full of smiles, excitement and curiosity as they explored, discovered and enjoyed a very chocolatey adventure - mmm delicious! โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‹ They even got in the footy spirit! โšฝ๏ธ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ

What a splendid day Year 5 had pondering the halls of the Tudor spectacle that is Harvington Hall: a moated Manor house teeming with priest holes & plenty to explore! โœจ

The children got to step back in time and examine some mysterious Tudor objects, got competitive whilst playing some Tudor games, practiced their best royal table manners in a Tudor kitchen, and honed their archery skills, ready to take on those pesky priest hunters if they come aโ€™knocking! ๐Ÿน They even got to check out some of the ingeniously hidden priest holes spread throughout the house!

A huge well done to our amazing Year 1 and Year 2 pupils for their fantastic end-of-summer production, Hats Off! ๐ŸŽฉ๐ŸŒŸ They all sang, danced and performed brilliantly, making us so incredibly proud. What a wonderful way to celebrate the end of the year! ๐ŸŽŠ

We think weโ€™ll all be singing those catchy songs for several days to come! ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ˜Š
