Myself and Mrs Searle have LOVED doing our Pride of Yorkshire piece with all children. He is finished! He will he heading back to Sheffield tomorrow ready to go on his travels as part of this amazing exhibition. I will be sure to share the lions locations as soon as these are confirmed. Below is the accompanying description for our cub. Well done team Aston!

'Lion Heart'

Lion Heart has been designed to celebrate the values at the heart of Aston All Saints Primary School. Lion Heart was created in bright colours and joyful symbols, to represent respect, trust and friendship — core values that guide our children as they learn, grow and care for one another.

The diverse figures holding hands reflect our inclusive school community, where everyone belongs and differences are celebrated. The rainbow and hearts symbolise hope, care and unity, while the speech bubbles remind us of the importance of listening, sharing ideas and learning together.

Lion Heart stands as a proud reminder of the strength found in community and the belief that when we stand together, we are stronger… like a pride.

Today we celebrated Numbers Day 2026!
What a turn out we had. You all looked amazing in your TTRS and Numbots themed outfits. Thank you to our families for supporting another memory making day.

During the day our KS2 classes took part in the NSPCC Times Tables Rock Stars competition. This ran from 7.30am to 7.30pm for schools across the UK.
Hot off the press … overall scores mean Aston All Saints came 92nd out of 4011 schools 👏 !! We are very proud of you all 😊

Christmas Dinner Day 2025 😋 🎄, our kitchen staff put on a great lunch as always 👏!

Thank you for your support of our Rock Steady Concert, Christingles Service & Christmas Dinner Day over the course of this week. We continue to make lots of memories at this time of celebration.

We look forward to our KS1 performance next week and to handing out the beautiful gifts (featured in the video) from our amazing Friends of Aston All Saints

CHRISTMAS CARD COMPETITION: Do you know someone aged 11 or under who can design our force Christmas card for 2025? 🎅

We're looking for budding young artists to design this year's force Christmas card, which will be sent to our partners and colleagues across South Yorkshire.

Chief Constable Lauren Poultney will choose her three favourite designs and the winner will be chosen by you on Facebook!

The closing date for entries is by the end of the day on Thursday 20 November. Entries must be scanned and emailed to [email protected]

Please note entries must be of a good enough quality to reproduce on the front of a card.

Terms and conditions:

🎅 All entries should be on A4 paper
🎄 Entrants must have consent from a parent or guardian to enter the competition, including permission for SYP to publish the child's name and age on social media
🎁 The winner must give permission for the image to be used both internally and externally by the force

🌟 Exciting News! 🌟
Aston All Saints C of E has been selected as one of the 150 schools to decorate a lion cub for the Pride of Yorkshire Exhibition 2026! 🦁

We’re thrilled to collaborate as a school community to bring our artistic flair and core values to life on this special, life sized lion cub. This fantastic exhibition not only showcases our creativity and team work but also supports a wonderful cause – fundraising for the incredible Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

To keep our lion cub after the exhibition, we have pledged to raise £950. Stay tuned for our upcoming fundraising plans – we can’t wait to share them with you! Together, we can make a difference! 💖
