Announcing our last Budding Flower Farmer Zoom Workshop!

After a lovely few years hosting these workshops we feel the time is right to move on. Started to give an honest opinion on the realities of starting a flower farm we feel we are further down the road and the memories of those early days are beginning to fade.

The sweetpeas planted a few weeks ago are sprouting. These plastic boxes are a great alternative if you don’t have a greenhouse for planting hardy annuals. We have our last Budding course of this season on March 6th. Places are still available and they have been lovely this year with lots of new flower projects being planned for this year. It is definitely one of the great things about flower growing - the connections you make with people who have a shared passion and are all starting their journey of growing and sharing flowers and foliage. Wonderful support for the and a great bunch of new flower farmers. It was a great group and some great questions at the end also. Thanks to everyone who made it. Beautiful sunrise this morning with lots of twinkley frost. On Monday I quickly planted some frost loving seeds: Daucus,delphiniums and Orlaya hoping the frost sparks germination.🤞🏻🤞🏻

Aquilegias beginning to shoot into action! Also known as Grannys bonnet but I don’t remember my Granny having a bonnet quite as pretty as these lovely flowers. All shades from white,pale blues and pinks to dark dark maroons.

The seed with the best germination are seeds collected form your own plot. We all try to collect as much as possible; Cerinthe, Scabious, Calendula and Larkspur are easy. What have you had success with?
