Electricians need to be able to inspect and test installations; however, some might find they haven’t used this skill for some time, making the thought of a practical assessment or an advanced inspection and testing course daunting.
Attendance on this refresher course will give the candidate more knowledge and confidence in the workplace, or help them prepare for further qualifications.

Who is it for?
⚡️Students who are preparing for the AM2 assessment.
⚡️CPD
⚡️Existing electricians about to undertake a CPS (competent person scheme) assessment.
⚡️Students who are preparing for the EAL Level 3 Award in Electrical Installation Inspection, Testing, Certification and Reporting / C&G 2391 course and would like to refresh their knowledge of testing before the course.

We had a great visit from Matt this morning, who updated our tutors on the new Scolmore product range.
He also delivered an excellent practical demonstration with our first-year block group on resistance and power generation, giving them valuable hands-on experience to reinforce their learning. ⚡️💡

We’re at Wigan and Leigh College today for the Northern heat of Female Skills Competiton.

2026 Evening Courses

That’s why we’re excited to offer two evening courses starting in early 2026 —designed to fit your training around your schedule.

Inspection and Testing (2391 equivalent)
This qualification is not intended for new entrants; it is designed for electricians who hold relevant Level 3 electrotechnical qualifications and are looking to enhance their skills.
10 Monday Evenings 17:00- 20:30
Starting Monday 12th January

Level 3 1605 Theory
This is the next step to qualification for those who have achieved a Level 2 Certificate at College or have partially completed a course through another provider (eg Options Skills).

2026 Evening Courses At Beau Associates, we understand that balancing Electrical Training with work and other commitments can be challenging. That’s why we’re excited to offer two evening courses starting in September 2025 - designed to fit your training around your schedule.

Have you achieved your Level 2 Certificate at College and are ready to take the next step in your Electrical Training?
Level 3 1605 Course starting January 12th 2026.

The course will run for 31 weeks on Monday evenings 17:00 - 20:30.
This will cover the theory units for the EAL 1605 qualification, and leads on to the NVQ Portfolio and AM2 assessment.
Candidates must have access to a real work environment to complete the NVQ section of this qualification. It is anticipated that our candidates should be gaining experience on-site whilst completing the knowledge requirements.
