Daisy Nook and Oakhill Riding School Daisy Nook and Oakhill Riding School 5* rated, open for lessons to cater all! Daisy Nook and Oakhill Riding School is now under new management as of March 2015.

We offer riding lessons to customers aged 4years and above and take riders from beginners who may never have ridden before to advanced riders wanting to improve specific skills or start again offering:

Group lessons
Semi/private lessons
Well behaved, well schooled riding school horses
Outdoor arena with a course of jumps
Indoor arena (being built this year)
Miles of fabulous off road hacking with the bridle paths on our door step

We also have horses of different ages and sizes available to buy on site. In turn we also offer working livery and full livery services for customers who have bought horses from the riding school offering:

Horse Riding is a fun exercise and hobby with effective ways of socialising and meeting new people. It is a great time to start riding and join in with the fun, we are not far from the M60 and can be easily accessed by public transport. Heels down doesn’t mean FORCE your heels down! 🤯

One of the most common things beginner riders hear is “heels down” — but pushing them down too hard can actually make your leg tense.

Think long, relaxed legs with your weight naturally sinking into your heels. 🦵🐴

Relaxation + balance = a much more secure position. ❤️

Daisy Nook & Oak Hill Riding School

We’ve made a few changes to our weekly timetable and have now released a selection of new riding spaces 🥰

Whether you’re just starting out, building confidence or ready to progress through the paces, we have something to suit different ages and abilities.

⭐ Lead Rein (LR) – beginners & younger riders
⭐ Walk & Trot (WT) – riders progressing off lead rein
⭐ Walk, Trot & Canter (WTC) – more established riders
⭐ Private Lessons – individual tuition
⭐ Friday Hack – 1 hour out of the arena 🌳🐴

💫 Regular weekly spaces available
💫 Progression groups for different abilities
💫 Friendly, structured tuition
💫 Private tuition also available on selected dates

Rather than filling our timetable completely, we’re keeping numbers limited within each session so riders can continue to receive plenty of individual attention.
