INTRODUCING STACEY
Stacey Maurice

With 20 years of teaching experience, I specialise in Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, Tap and Choreography. I’m an Associate Dance Teacher with the BATD (since 2004) and hold a First Class BA (Hons) from LIPA, where I received the Sir Paul McCartney Award for Dance. I later completed a PGCE and gained full QTS.

From 2013–2025, I taught at LIPA, delivering Tap Technique and choreographing multidisciplinary showcases. I previously established and led the A Level Dance course at Rochdale Sixth Form College. In 2026, alongside Sophie Tighe, I’ll launch SDC (Sophie Dee College of Performing Arts), delivering Level 3 BTEC Performing Arts training for the next generation.

I currently teach across respected North West schools including Kirsten’s Dance Academy, Sophie Dee School of Dance and McLaren Dance Company. Since 2016, the KDA Elite team has grown from 29 to 80+ dancers, achieving major titles including multiple That’s Showbiz Championships, Dream Maker UK Champions, Chance 2 Dance O2 Champions, and Move It 2nd Runners‑Up.

My choreography has reached the finals of Dance World Cup and Global Dance Open, and I’ve been recognised by the Barbara Sharples Awards, CYD Teacher Awards and That’s Showbiz Events. I also co‑founded Torque Youth Dance Company (2012–2022), providing high‑level training and performance opportunities.

Creative, motivated and progress‑focused, I’m passionate about nurturing talent and bringing energy, discipline and excellence into every studio I step into.
