Neck floats are inflatables that sit around a baby’s neck, allowing them to float freely in the water. But babies can drown or suffocate. Which is why we recommend avoiding them.

If the float pushes up against something, this can put pressure on the baby’s airways. There’s also a risk that, if the float flips over, the baby’s face can be submerged under the water.

Neck floats can also give you a false sense of security. It’s scary to think about but drowning happens quickly and quietly, often with no noise to alert you it’s happening.

That’s why we advise you keep your baby in arms’ reach in the water at all times so that you can act fast to keep them safe.

Getting ready for our leavers party 🎈😔 you are all going to be truly missed ♥️🌈

This year has gone way too quick and we can’t quite get our heads around the fact that our preschoolers are leaving us this week… it doesn’t feel five minutes since they were the babies and it felt that we had all the time in the world ahead of us….time needs to slow down.

So here’s a short poem for our leavers:

Our little friends how time has flown you’ve laughed and learned and gosh you’ve grown,
The days we spent having fun and exploring each day was an adventurous one,
Never boring we sung our songs we’ve dance played games we forever cherish these special days.

keep asking questions and try new things.
keep being kind and brave, embrace what life brings.
We will miss you all but don’t feel blue,
our heart will always be with you.

keep laughing playing and enjoying each day will be cheering you on every step of the way
