In today’s assembly, we focused on the work of Mero’s World Foundation and the importance of Knife Crime Awareness Week.
Students learned about the devastating impact knife crime has on individuals, families and communities through the powerful story behind Mero’s World, a charity created in memory of Rhamero West. We discussed the importance of making positive choices, resisting peer pressure and looking after one another.
We also spoke about bleed control cabinets and how these life-saving resources can help in emergency situations before paramedics arrive.
As a school community, we are committed to raising awareness, educating our young people and promoting safety, kindness and support for others.💜

On Wednesday we came together to support Mental Health Awareness Month and had such a lovely time taking part in a range of activities across school!💚
Students and staff enjoyed a fun quiz, a “guess how many sweets are in the jar” challenge, and some fantastic poster designing. Our Thrive 1 class also spread lots of kindness by handing out uplifting notes to both staff and students, which brought plenty of smiles throughout the afternoon.
As part of the event, we were also raising money for the Mental Health Foundation to support the important work they do in promoting positive mental health and wellbeing.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the afternoon such a positive and supportive event 💚

🌍✨Our fantastic Hive students took learning beyond the classroom recently by heading out into the community for a litter-picking session as part of their lesson!
Not only were they developing important life skills, but they were also making a real difference to the local environment.🌱💚
We’re so proud of their teamwork, effort, and commitment to keeping our community clean and safe.
