Before anything else, the most important thing is that everybody is safe.
Sadly, Andy’s car wasn’t quite so fortunate. A nearby camper van caught fire and the flames spread to his vehicle, causing extensive damage.
Our thoughts are with everybody affected by the fire. We’re incredibly grateful that nobody was hurt—cars and possessions can be replaced, even if seeing the damage is still absolutely devastating.
In an entirely separate part of our day, Andy and I visited Jamie at Press-Cal to learn more about what happens behind the scenes when press machines are serviced and repaired.
We saw the work involved in inspecting the machines, identifying problems and getting them operating correctly again. It was fascinating to see how much goes into maintaining the tools engineers rely on every day.
Definitely a day we won’t be forgetting in a hurry.
