Yesterday as part of our whole school Assembly, we thought about the kind of people we want to be this year and how we can all do our own little bit to make our small part of the world better.
We learned about and how you can be rich in many more ways than just money …
The children listened to ‘The Coat of Many Colours’ by Dolly Parton and we reflected on Dolly’s love and pride in her coat made of rags and love, by her own Mum. The children also reflected on how Dolly must have felt when the other children made fun of it.
The children were astounded to hear about Dolly’s incredible achievements and her generosity to those less fortunate, noting that she gave away millions of pounds to help others and donated millions of books through her ‘Imagination Library’.

💕It’s not often in today’s world that we have an example like this to share, so it was important we did so …. Plus who doesn’t love a bit of 9 to 5 ringing round the building on a Friday morning!

🌈 We can’t wait to see you all tomorrow!
Gates open at 08:45 and we can’t wait to welcome you 💛 We’ve missed you all very much!
Remember:
🌟full school uniform and black school shoes and a reminder also that it’s just
🌟book bags or PE size bags from tomorrow. They don’t need any kind of branding and can be any colour
🌟Parents PLEASE 🙏🏼 label your child’s clothes and belongings so we can minimise lost property.
🌟Summer Reading Challenge finishers please bring your medal and certificate in to claim your dojos!
⚠️⚠️ Finally, just a note to walk (not drive) to school if you are able as there are roadworks on Mossley Road and both driving and parking are likely to be more difficult.

Today was our Victorious Academies Trust whole Trust inset and what an inspiring, uplifting day it was! Every single member of staff across all 15 Victorious schools together at the Bridgewater Hall.
There were amazing Oracy performances from our exceptional children and some fantastic speakers - none more inspiring though than our own CEO Karen Burns, who leads by example and lives and breathes our Trust with a strength and pride that Inspires us all every day!
A great start to our 2026-27 academic year!
