On Friday, we were delighted to welcome our Year 2 families to Downsend for our Prizegiving and Graduation ceremony. 🎓

Together, we looked back on special memories from the children's time at Little Downsend, enjoyed fantastic performances by our Year 2 pupils, and celebrated some of their many achievements with awards recognising their hard work throughout the year.

We are incredibly proud of everything our Year 2 pupils have achieved so far and can't wait to see them continue to grow and thrive in the next stage of their journey.

Congratulations, Year 2!

What a brilliant morning at our Downsend Junior Sports Day!

After last week’s heatwave, the weather couldn’t have been better for our rearranged event. It was fantastic to see our Years 3-6 pupils giving their all, cheering each other on and showing incredible determination, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the day.

A huge congratulations to Headley, who were crowned this year’s House champions! 🏆

Thank you to all the families who came along to support, our DPA for the refreshments, and our staff for making the day such a success. Ending with an ice lolly was the perfect way to celebrate a fantastic morning together.

The stage is nearly set for The Lion King JR. 🦁

Our pupils have thrown themselves into rehearsals, learning lines, songs and choreography while bringing plenty of their own energy and character to the production.

We’re looking forward to welcoming families to see all their hard work come together on stage.

Good luck to the cast, crew and everyone working behind the scenes!

In this Student Spotlight, Millie from Year 6 shares how her business 2ps came to life with the help of Year 6 students Zara, Issy and Jaein, creating comics, characters, colouring sheets and merchandise together.

It is a lovely example of creativity, teamwork and confidence in action - and of pupils turning an idea into something they can be really proud of.

Our Year 7 and 8 pupils did themselves proud, bringing so much energy, confidence and character to the stage.

A huge well done to everyone involved, both on stage and behind the scenes, and thank you to all the families who came along to support.
