This page is Freemen's official page. The co-educational School was founded in 1854 in Brixton, and moved to the current 57 acre site in Ashtead Park in 1926. Freemen's is one of three independent schools owned by the City of London Corporation, and strong links exist between the City and the School including the annual City Visit and Prize Day. Christian principles remain at the heart of its ethos, although the School is non-denominational. Pupils at the School achieve excellent academic results (99.9% A*-C at GCSE and 71.3% A* and A at A-level), alongside physical, creative, social and spiritual development, through the many opportunities in sport, music, drama, the arts and leisure pursuits. Trips and visits enhance classroom learning across all year groups and subjects, with approximately 100 extra-curricular clubs and an enrichment programme for the whole school. The School also benefits from a thriving parent community – the FSA – who host regular social events, and a dedicated Alumni Association – the OFA – who run sports teams and social events, both on and off site. The School’s aims are:
