🏛️✨ A fantastic day of discovery for our Dinotots Ashington children! ✨🏛️

Our little explorers had an amazing trip to the Hancock Museum, where every corner was filled with excitement, curiosity and opportunities to learn.

The children loved exploring the fascinating galleries, discovering everything from incredible dinosaurs and fascinating fossils to amazing animals from around the world. There were so many wonderful exhibits to spark their imaginations, encouraging them to ask questions, make observations and learn through real-life experiences.

It was wonderful to see their faces light up with excitement as they explored the museum together, sharing their discoveries with friends and building confidence as they learned about history, nature and the world around them. These hands-on experiences help develop curiosity, communication and a lifelong love of learning in a fun and engaging way.

There was plenty of laughter, lots of smiles and so many special moments throughout the day. Watching the children immerse themselves in new experiences and create lasting memories together is what makes outings like these so special.

A huge well done to all of our fantastic little adventurers—you were a credit to Dinotots Ashington! We can’t wait to see where our next adventure takes us. 💙🦖🦋

🌟 Let’s talk activities at Dinotots Ashington! 🌟

At Dinotots Ashington we love creating exciting learning experiences through play, and one activity our children really enjoy is exploring our tuff trays. Tuff tray activities provide endless opportunities for learning, curiosity and imagination. They encourage children to investigate, explore and use their senses while developing important skills in a fun and engaging way.

Our nursery children especially enjoy using our soundboards during activities. Soundboards are a fantastic way to support children’s language and communication development. They help children listen carefully, understand instructions and recognise what the soundboard is asking them to do, building confidence in understanding and responding to language.

The children have been using numbers to recognise and match quantities, identifying foods and counting how many items they need. Number recognition and counting are such important early learning skills, helping children understand quantities, problem-solving and developing the foundations needed for future maths learning.

Learning through play is always at the heart of what we do, and seeing the children excited, engaged and building new skills while having fun is what makes these experiences so special! 💚✨

Today at Dinotots Ashington we proudly celebrated Victory in Europe Day 🇬🇧❤️

VE Day, also known as Victory in Europe Day, marks the day World War II ended in Europe on 8th May 1945. It is a time for us to remember the bravery, sacrifice and courage of so many people who helped bring peace to our country and to celebrate the joy families felt when the war finally came to an end.

Our children enjoyed learning about the importance of VE Day in a simple and meaningful way through stories, discussions and lots of fun activities. The garden was decorated beautifully as the children came together for a lovely VE Day tea party filled with smiles, laughter and celebration. ☕🧁🇬🇧

The children enjoyed sitting together with their friends, sharing tasty treats, waving flags and singing songs while learning how communities celebrated many years ago when peace was announced. It was wonderful to see the children embracing the spirit of togetherness, friendship and kindness throughout the day.

📚🌿 A lovely morning at Dinotots Ashington! 🌥️

Although the weather is a little overcast today, it certainly didn’t stop our children and staff from heading out on a wonderful walk to the local library – one of our favourite places to visit! 💛

The children absolutely love spending time at Ashington Library, where they can explore a world full of stories, imagination, and learning. From sitting together listening to stories, to choosing their own books and sharing them with friends, it’s always such a special experience 📖✨

Reading plays such an important role in children’s development. It helps to build language and communication skills, encourages creativity, and supports their understanding of the world around them. We love seeing the children pointing at pictures, talking about what they see, and bringing stories to life in their own unique ways 🧠💬

Most importantly, it’s a place where friendships grow, confidence builds, and a lifelong love for books begins 💚

🌞 What a beautiful day for an adventure at Dinotots Ashington! 🦆🌿

Our little explorers enjoyed a lovely walk along the pond, stopping to watch the ducks as they waddled along on their own little journeys – there was so much excitement and curiosity from the children! 💛

Continuing our adventure, we made our way to Woodhorn Museum where the children had a fantastic time exploring and discovering new things. The museum provided a wonderful opportunity to learn through experience, sparking imagination and interest all around. 🏛️✨

With the weather being absolutely gorgeous and the sun shining brightly, we couldn’t have asked for a better day ☀️ To top it all off, we enjoyed a lovely picnic together, sharing smiles, laughter, and delicious food in the sunshine 🧺💕
