Ashington Grammar/High School Leavers 1978/80

Assuming we have now left Covid, I set this page off for pre Covid, was for us to gather and reminisce, so what are we going to do now in 2023 ?

I’d like to suggest a re-union later this year, maybe July 2023. Whilst its a not milestone, 40 or 50 yrs, it will still be an opportunity to gather.
Whether this union in Ashington or North/East orthumberland is yet to be decided but until I know attendees we won’t know .
Common lets get together for a laugh and to exchange where we’re at, and what we’ve done

As we head into 2020 it will be 40 years since the VIth formers left the old school on Green Lane, 42 years for those who left after studying for their O level/CSEs. We had a right bunch of characters from the grammar school intake of 1973 and the comprehensive intake of 1975. This is a tester to see if anyone has started to organise a reunion, if not …… then …… perhaps I will ??
