Year 2 got the bug in a visit to last week.
The children looked for bugs in the kitchen garden, made bugs and creepy crawlies out of clay, had a lovely picnic with our friends and thoroughly enjoyed the park in the woods!
We were delighted to hear praise for our children from Visitor Experience Officer Molly Glover, who said after the trip: "As always, the students were such a pleasure to have on site.
"The gardeners in the allotments wanted me to especially pass on their praise, as the students who stopped by and helped were really sweet and incredibly polite!" ❤

4AK had the best day ever at Newbiggin East Beach yesterday. They made nests for eider ducks, did a small beach walk to litterpick and did birdwatching with binoculars. They even got to play in the park after their lunch and learned loads about the wildlife that lives on our coastline. An excellent day all round!

Children in Reception have loved bringing our key text The Enormous Turnip to life! They have thoroughly enjoyed learning how to plant seeds and discovering what makes them grow. It’s been fantastic to see RAS so engaged in their hands-on learning this week.

What a fabulous second day for Year 5 at our Holy Island residential yesterday!
We went rockpooling at St Cuthbert's beach, where we found crabs, eels, goby fish and starfish, along with colourful sea grass and pottery ruins.
Then it was a trip to the harbour for some observational art and sport activities. It was lovely to see how well the children worked as a team to find different creatures and create land art pieces.
This morning we are off up to see the Lime Kilns and Lindisfarne Castle before our return home.
