Our first fruit crop was ready to sample today. Our year 2 children helped to pick some strawberries, which were then washed, chopped and shared with the whole school. They were delicious 😋
The children made fire pictures using cardb, acrylic paints and sticks. They look amazing and colourful.
Then it was back to their favourite activity…bug hunting!

Our last session this term. Planting carrot, parsnip and tomato seeds. More whittling, definitely the children’s favourite activity. The boys observing an ants nest for over an hour, I can honestly say this has been the most relaxing afternoon.

This week our plan was to create a digging area next to the mud kitchen, however this didn't go as planned because all we found instead of dirt was clay. Instead the children decided they would like to use the clay to create their own sculptures.
I have to say they looked amazing.

We have been busy in the forest school the past few weeks. The children have helped to tidy, find worms to go in the compost, built a tripod ready for planting beans. The strawberry plants are in and they even re-located a small lizard to keep it safe.
It has been very muddy which as children know, the muddier the better. We’ve had music and whittling, always a firm favourite And lots of fun.
