This week despite school being out for summer the pupils have been busy in the Reading Room Ashford. They have placed themselves at varying points along the 10 steps from 1 to 10 but each one has left the Reading Room Ashford feeling happy and proud of themselves - one pupil even said they weren't ready to leave!

📚✨ There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a child excited to read. ✨📚
One of my favourite moments is when a child reaches for a book with confidence, can't wait to tell me what they've read, or proudly says, "I love this new book" 💙
For some children, reading doesn't come easily. But with the right support, encouragement and resources tailored to their individual needs, that spark can begin to grow.
Watching confidence replace frustration and curiosity replace hesitation is exactly why I love what I do.
