We had our Graduation Party for the school leavers yesterday 🎉🎊🏆2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣6️⃣
The children enjoyed a disco and then party food 🎉🎶🎵🥪🧁
Afterwards the parents came for a Graduation ceremony to celebrate the class of 2026 at Little Acorns Pre-School 🎉🐿️🎊. Each child received an award and then we mentioned what they wanted to be when they grow up.
All the best at school, we will miss you all! 🏫

The best bits from this week-

🐿️ We set up a beauty salon where the children could pretend to paint their nails and have their hair done. The children absolutely loved this 🎨💅🎀
🐿 Junk model- making all kinds of different creations. They made hats, bangles etc..

We’re had lots of fun for our sports week.👟🥚🥄⚽️⛹️🏁
We have had lots of different races every day including-
🐿 Egg and spoon race🥚🥄
🐿️ Balancing bean bags on their heads
🐿 Over and under throwing with a football in a group of about 5 children ⚽️
🐿️ Throwing balls into an umbrella ☂️ 🔴🟠🟡🟣🔵🟢
🐿 Rolling hula hoops to our partner
🐿️ Jumping into the hoops to get to the finish line 🏁
🐿 Throwing and catching in pairs. ⚽️
The children were split into two groups when doing the races. They all did amazingly well! 🌟💫👏
The have loved watching all the different races and cheering on their friends. Each child received a special sports day sticker at the end of their session.

The best bits over the last couple of weeks:
🐿️ The staff celebrated being at Furley Park School for nearly a year now with a cake at their staff meeting! Wow that’s gone quickly 🎉🎈😊
🐿️ The children used the cars to follow the different patterns. 🚘
🐿 Small world beach theme with water and sand tray. 🏖️
🐿️ Walking the plank like pirates, with water underneath. 🏴‍☠️
🐿 Lots of water play including a car wash, different colour water and paddling. 🌊💧
🐿️ Finding our names, seeing whether we can find the letter in our names to go on the magnetic board and clapping out the syllables in our names. 🔤
🐿 We had a special visit from one of the Reception Class teachers, who came to read a few book to the children going to school. 🏫
🐿️ Mark making with feather is paint. 🎨 🪶

Highlights from the week-
🐿 We have made special cards the last couple of weeks, for special people in the children’s lives. The older children drew a picture of their special person, themselves or their family too. The younger children did golf painting in a tray.
🐿️ We have had lots of water play including with oranges, lemons and herbs with tea pots and aswell as using our new water wall, that the children have loved. 💦🍊🍋🫖
Our home corner is now getting the children ready for school.
🏫 We have got lots of different school uniforms for the children to dress up in.
🏫 A register sheet for mark making and writing their names, their friends and so the children can role play being teachers
🏫 Looking at the school logos and taking about what school they are going to? Also sharing books all about school.
🐿 Mark making in the sand with the feather, writing their names and mark making.

🐿️ Cutting the animals out, matching them to their correct homes and gluing them down. ✂️
🐿 Small world- A squash and a squeeze with the animals in the houses. 🏠

🐿 Bugs spa day- washing all the bugs with the sponges 🧽 🐞🐛
🐿️ Tea party in the garden. 🫖☕️
🐿 Exploring what sticks to the magnetic tiles.
🐿️ Lots of small world
🐿 Practicing our gross motor by throwing small balls in the umbrella ☂️ ⚽️
🐿️ Today we had Music Anne doing all about bugs. 🎶🎼

🐿 Building with the wooden blocks with shaving foam and sand. 🧱
🐿️ World Bee Day on Tuesday
🐝Loose part play and leaning about bees.
🐝Making bees out of play dough with pipe cleaners and eyes. The children also loved making spiders. 🕷️
🐝 Making bee pictures with glue and tissue paper.
🐿 Lots of water play including a car wash, a range of different bottles for pouring and tipping. Also an underwater theme water play. 🚗🚘🚙🧼 🐟🐠🫧🐙🦈
🐿️ Junk modelling. The children have been busy making lots of different creations!
