We’re really excited to be launching our Community Lunch Club on Wednesday 4 November! 🍽️☕

Run in partnership with Grow19, our new Lunch Club is about much more than enjoying a tasty meal. It’s a chance to get out, meet new people, have a chat and enjoy some friendly company in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

And you can enjoy a two-course meal for just £3! 🍲🍰

Coming on your own? Please don’t worry. You’ll receive a warm welcome and there’ll be plenty of friendly faces to say hello to. 😊

This week we have been creating our Autumn board, children have painted the bonfire, fireworks , hedgehogs and created rockets. All children have had opportunities to participate in a range of activities offered throughout the day covering all areas of the EYFS. The 1st October is National Poetry Day so all children have listened to poems and sung simple rhymes. We have read poems by Shirley Hughes, read books with rhyme including I went to the Zoopermarket, Cheese and Tomato Pizza and Don't put your finger in the jelly Nelly. The afternoon children have used resources to follow pattern, decorated pumpkins, decorated poems, taking these home to share with their parents, investigated their first name then tried to find the letters of their name in counters and tomorrow the children will be continuing with the poetry topic and investigate puzzles depicting different types of weather. 🤩

Today we had Nicola from Little Music Stars in. Many of our children participated and had great fun. Nicola offers parent and child sessions in many locations including in the hall next door. Please take look at her website for more information. Thank you Nicola for joining us today, one of our children said 'it was awesome' 🤩

It's been a busy few weeks at preschool, with lots of new children starting. The children have been investigating lots of different resources and activities. Messy play, the craft and creative area, role play, adult led activities, our outside space to name a few. The afternoon children have been choosing books to take home to share with parents and carers and this week the topic for afternoon activities has been All About Me, discussing how we are all different, feelings, homes and participating in fun activities to support this. It's been lovely getting to know everyone. If you have any questions please speak to your child's key person or email the setting. Thank you 🤩

Please could you check your child's ruck sacks/ bags as we are looking for a red Spider-Man rain jacket and a green hoodie which are missing, we assume they have gone home with the wrong child these items are named. Can we also remind parents/carers to clearly name all items that a child may take off.
We have also found various items in children's bags that need to be kept at home, sweets and lollies and medication. The only medication we administer are inhalers and epi pens (if required) if your child requires these medications you would have filled out a medical form, these items are then stored safely at the preschool and sent home daily. We do not allow confectionary at the setting and lolly pops are not recommended for children under 5 due to the risk of choking. Thank you for your assistance in this matter
