What a busy and rewarding weekend for Fighting Spirit Taekwondo!

🗓️ Friday: We kicked off the weekend holding our local Kup grading. Great effort from everyone testing!
🗓️ Saturday: I had the privilege of refereeing / judging at the 1st Kixstar Poomsae Competition at the K2 Arena, Crawley.
🗓️ Sunday: Right back to the K2 Arena, coaching our student in the Kyorugi (sparring) competition, alongside Bill our 2nd Dan senior, who was officiating as a center referee for the day.

A special congratulations and massive shoutout to one of our junior 1st Dans who made his competitive debut! in advanced level sparring, Despite the lack of prior experience at this level, he put on a fantastic performance.
Stepping up to that level takes serious courage, and despite the nerves, he performed brilliantly. We are extremely proud of his effort and dedication! well done. And well done team.

Fantastic results for all students taking part in this graduation, with everyone successfully passing to their next belt level!

A special congratulations to two of our students who earned a double promotion for demonstrating exceptional skill and dedication well above their current grade. Very well done to everyone—keep up the standard and keep working hard toward your next goal!

Way Taekwondo was proud to host a highly successful Dan Grading in Ashford, Kent!

​Congratulations to all the candidates who successfully passed their grading today. The hard work, dedication, and perseverance truly paid off.

5th Best Leg Poomsae championship
11th July 2026.
A good day for Fighting Spirit Taekwondo, 5 students competing and gaining valuable experience. As they step onto the mat the feeling becomes different than your practice session a real test of nerves confidence and focus. A valuable lesson in concentration, under the pressure of being judged and an audience watching on, the mind goes blank and your actions freeze until that training kicks in and you carry on.
Well done team a great effort, one Gold 🥇and three Silver 🥈.

Fighting Spirit Taekwondo making an impression on the Kyorugi mats achieving standards, we may be a small club but we’re here making it happen, whether it’s Kyorugi or Poomsae we’ll be there somewhere somehow. Great result for our Kyorugi centre referee at the Apex Open Manchester achieving best referee award of the day, congratulations.

Sunday 26th April 2026, and our team are competing in the Aquila spring Poomsae competition at their usual venue London University Sports Dock.
Three taking part from Way Taekwondo in the K1 categories, K1 cadet Silver medal 🥈 just pipped from a gold medal place and first time participant achieving a very respectable result also K1 cadets.
K1 1st senior taking Gold medal 🥇 place.
A well organised event and always great to catch up with friends and colleagues on the competition circuit.
Huge thanks to the parents for taking time out to support and encourage the students in their journey, win or not there are gains to be had from taking part and improving their skills and standards.
Well done all 🥋👊🏻
